A quick hello to all,

After much research we ordered our XL 250 regular with medium roof today. Decided on the 3.5L after all the reading on the forums the last few months. We will be using it as a service van for our business. Needed something small that we could get in and out of marinas with, yet carry a little weight and with the dual sliding door and rebates we bit the bullet. A big thanks to all who take the time and answer questions and share ideas on the forum. Look forward in becoming part of the transit family!!

Update on new van order

Just spoke with dealer today and have a projected build date of 06-08-16. Eta to dealer July 5th. Starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Can't wait to rack it out and put it into service.

04-11-16 ordered.
05-02-16 received Vin #, projected build date of 06-03-16.
06-02-16 window sticker on line and new projected build date from dealer of 06-08-16 and ETA to dealer 07-05-16.

Glad you got your Dual Sliding Door Transit without the long wait. Some forum members have waited many months(year?) from their order date to finally seeing it arrive at their dealership and driveway. Any special options you ordered besides the DSD? Send some pictures when it arrives!

It's fully loaded: Race red XL 250 regular with medium roof cargo, 3.5L with 3.31 limited slip axle, trailer tow package, heavy duty alternator with dual batteries, load area protection package, upfitter switches, fixed rear door glass, keyless entry, auto lamp, reverse sensing system, back up alarm, securilock (with 2 additional keys), trailer brake controller, Cruise control, power inverter, rear powerpoint, sync 3 navigation, 10-way power driver seat, and lets not forget the sun visors with illuminated vanity mirror. Will post pictures upon its arrival.

Did you order the LED cargo area lighting?

It's pretty cheap and well worth it. It works quite well.

I almost forgot it but was able to add it last minute.
