Just wanting to get a general idea of how long it has taken people to get their delivery information after placing an order. I placed my order on Feb 1st, and since then I haven't had the best of luck communicating with my sales person.

How long does it normally take just to get a VIN? I was told a 10 to 12 week time frame to get the vehicle, but it seems to be taking longer than that for most people. (I ordered a T150 LR 10 passenger wagon with 3.5 EB from one of the largest Ford dealerships in the country - I live in Florida).

Any thoughts or experiences? Thank you! This has been a very informative forum!

I ordered mine during the second week of January, got my vin about 10 days later. Still haven't been able to access my window sticker. My dealer told me that mine would be built on March 7th, with delivery in late April. We will see what happens.

Your Transit not built yet. What is the date at the top of the window sticker? That is the PROJECTED BUILD DATE for your Transit. The final date will show up on ETIS when it is completed and passed through Quality Control. ETIS only shows FINISHED BUILD DATE, not the projected date.

Thanks. I did not understand how that worked. Among the indecipherable numbers on the window sticker I see 120160307.

Thanks for the info everyone! Based on this forum and the Transit FaceBook page, it seems like an average of a month and a half for a VIN number, then another 2 months for delivery. So, around 12 weeks on average for the whole process, which is what the dealership told me.

You should be able to pull up your window sticker this week if your Transit is still on schedule for build the week of March 7th.
I just checked and indeed it was posted!! I'm locked in! We will see if I get it before May, my dealer predicted towards the end of April.

No rear air conditioning on the window sticker though, might have to go aftermarket.

My Blue 350HD XLT is here!

Here's an update:

My Metallic Blue Jean 350HD XLT Wagon just arrived! It's stunning! Built 2/15/16 it took two weeks to get from Kansas City to Buellton, CA. Seems to me that Ford has corrected some of those build to delivery lag times issues!

That's a fast delivery time! I might get mine sooner than I expect.

You were one of the lucky ones as the CA bound special rail cars were there waiting for your 350HD Wagon when it rolled off the assembly line. The fastest one I have found coming to DFW, TX has been 17 days and we are a lot closer than you.
