I have a 2019 Ford Transit XLT350 with about 129K miles I keep hearing a rattling sound when accelerate with the "check Engine" light on in the dashboard. The other day the rattling got louder then the oil light starts to flicker in the dashboard. I eventually lost power in the engine and now it won't restart, any advice on this?

Have you checked the oil lately or recently had it changed ? Sounds like a lack of oil , or oil pump failure unfortunately . I am guessing the engine does not even turn over to try to start , like its seized ? Or does it crank over and just not start ?
Doesn't sound good from the chain of events you are describing .

You might have seized your motor. Oil light = no oil pressure. Rattling noise also indicates low oil pressure.

When did you last check your oil level prior to this? If the oil level is good, you might have a plugged oil pickup.

Time to drop the oil pan...

If there's chunks in there, time to find a replacement. If there's no chunks... then further diagnostics is required. I just saw a video this weekend, where the oil pickup on an Expedition was blocked an old oil-change-reminder sticker! I've also seen it plugged by foil (probably sloppy oil jug opening) and silicone from resealing (sloppily) oil pans and valve covers. And as suggested earlier... sometimes oil pumps can fail (not common at all with this engine family however).

Oil viscosity breakdown will also cause oil pressure to drop. This happens if you run conventional oil too long. Any idea how long it was since your last oil change, and who did it?

Also, as you drain the oil before dropping the pan... it wouldn't hurt to pull an oil sample, which you can use for additional info to decide wether it's a candidate for rebuilding.
