Just bought some goodies for my van. Got he hard floor, some shelving, bulk head and double drop down ladder rack. Had to take out my rubber mat so if anyone wants to buy it please make me an offer.
Here's a possibility to get some use out of that mat. I'm going to do a plywood floor. I MAY take that OEM mat, and skin the fiber material off of it, and use the "rubber" part again, as top layer, OR, under the floor, as a sound sink.
I considered putting my plywood floor on top of the rubber mat. Glad I didn't. The van is so quiet with the solid ABS bulkhead there is no point. I can see the point of putting it on top to keep stuff from sliding around though.
By bulkhead, do you mean the wall liners in the cargo area, or the safety partition behind the driver and passenger seat? Thanks for all I`m learning from forum members before I buy my NEW VAN!
Bulkhead is the safety partition between cargo and front cab. Reason why I didn't use the mat is because when you put shelving on top of it, it will begin to rip and tear. I bought the sweet $850 hard plastic floor for it. Fits very nice
