Is it possible to get an extra key cut for the [2018] Transit that isn't a fob? I have two fobs but would like one or two more keys as backup, and I imagine the fobs are insanely expensive.

Replacement Ford Keys & Key Blanks (H94-PT) $11 for H94-PT, about $30 for two keys with shipping.

Key copy requires laser cut about $25 each in Bay Area Calif. Most locksmiths can do this.
Say you just want it for your glovebox will simplify discription of what you want.

If you have the expensive PATS security (rare) this won’t work.
Search on ford transit forum has threads on this and keypad option.

I have a 2019 w/ the expensive and rare (haha) PATS option. Having PATS just means you need chipped keys and to add a new key all keys need to be reprogrammed at the same time. I had a local mobile locksmith cut/pgm 2 additional non fob keys for around 150$ in my driveway.

Not sure if PATS is rare, but it is a pretty cheap option, esp considering what it gives you security wise. Without it anyone with a screwdriver can break the ignition lock and start the van like a pinto from 1975.
