shade cloth keeps bugs out and is far more durable than window screen. It can be cut to fit and held on with magnets, too. Total cost for a slider and rear door set with rare earth magnets would be $50 or less. You can get it online or at Home Depot (6x20' for $35). Rare earth "super" magnets about 3/8" diameter in a 10 pack are around $5. Or go bigger.

gmartens, do you have any pix of your screen in place? I'm having some difficulty relating your description to the pic on the Amazon site ....

I came across a pro master in Sedona earlier this year that was an RV build but they had a slick sliding screen door. I've got photos of it somewhere and will dig them up, but I've been searching far and wide to find something similar for the transit high roof.

Like to get the screen for my 2017 MR LWB Van. Believe the screens for front windows, Sliding doors and Rear doors can help a great deal when camping in the woods to prevent attack from mosquitos.

Anyone has good experience with orders from online companies? What are the choices and pricing? Can you also share some photos?

TIA

I just use a 'single garage door' screen from Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000R4H75U/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Only $19
I drape it over a curtain rod over the back doors.
The curtain rod is just a shower curtain rod. It has stayed in place for 6 months now. No brackets needed.
I bought another one of the screens for the side and installed some brackets for a 'real curtain rod' for it.
Has anyone used this one?

I used this size for the side slider, only needed to trim off around 6 inches and then secured it under the door gasket, and used the Velcro for the remainder. Turned out super clean and only $30 Text Line Parallel Slope

For the Front doors, we have used www.skreenz.com in the past for our honda and GMC. More recently we bought a set for the front windows for the new Transit and again I was impressed with their product.

This seems like a great solution. is it easy to stow? Do the fiberglass or magnets get messed up when rolling/folding?

I'm picturing trimming it to fit the door gasket opening, and then installing it by following this process:

1. Trim off the top to fit, and attach velcro
2. Attach velcro around the slider for the top and sids: https://vanupgrades.com/products/slider-door-insect-screen-for-vans. then the velcro can stay permanently in place around the gasket.

"Piggying" back on this thread - we are going camping in Maine in 2 weeks and I really need to get something for the sliding door/back door.

Here are the options I found so far (some listed here already):

Any other one I missed?

Why are you only considering off-the-shelf products? Just get some shade screen from a local hardware store, and some neodymium magnets to hold it in place. Almost indestructible (but won't keep bears out), and your total cost will be like $20 for the rear doors, and $20 for the slider.

That's a very good idea. I doubt that it will be only $20 though, but probably still considerably cheaper. If you look at my Boston-Truckee travel thread, you will see that I started my trip with a Montreal Expo 1967 ice bag cooler that my parents still have. I am actually bringing it to Iceland with us today. So I can do cheap.

But that said, I am in a point in my life where I can afford quality products - buy once, cry once type of thing. So I prefer to look at the full spectrum of offerings, and then take a decision.
