I was really never satisfied with the stock 16" wheels but decided it would hold me over until a few more options were available for the strange bolt pattern. My brother found a great deal on Craigslist that I couldn't pass up.

Here is a set of 18" take offs from a sherrod custom transit, owner said it was a little high for her so I practically stole them from her.

Tires only had a few hundred miles on them and surprisingly the ride height only increased by about 1.5".

Let me know what you guys think, going to try to wire up my HIDs next.

Thanks.

Did the lady end up with the same radius of mounted tire and step up height as before? But boosted1 practically stole the cooler look?

No markings on the wheels other than the ford logo on the center cap. They just came off her sherrod conversion van. I will take a better look today to see if I can find any markings.

I agree the lug pattern is real hard to find.

Some wheels have markings on the back inner part of the wheel. Others you have to remove the tire to get the stamping down the center bead of the rim. Assume the center cap is one with a Ford logo decal or is it a factory type center cap?

When at the 2014 SEMA Show last year, I talked with some of the wheel manufactures about a cast wheel for the Ford Transit and they all stated none was available at that time. Seems like just after the show they started showing up on the conversion vans and the local tire and wheel stores could not come up with anything on a manufacturer or distributor.

Already registered for the 2015 SEMA Show and will have all the wheel manufactures on my list to stop and see what they might have to offer this year. Will try to publish which ones have available wheels and other aftermarket items for the Ford Transit.

She probably complained about the height and they told her she could be lower by 2". They probably were as clueless as most people regarding overall height as it relates to wheel size plus aspect ratio. I wonder if she feels a difference or not when climbing in!

What load rating and pressure rating are the tires. It should have this information on the sidewall. The OEM ones are 3,195 lbs rating at 90 psi pressure.
An E load rated tire is sufficient, but there are none available on tirerack.com in the OP's stated 245/60/18 size. Only XL rated. Probably fine on a passenger van. But not for a fully loaded cargo.

I love the look of these wheels on the Transit, and would consider them for my cargo van, but need the E-load rating.

Correct- If the stock tire was 28" and the replacement tire was 29.6" then the ride height increased .8" not 1.5"

What I want to know is how you guys changing tires are correcting the speedometer for the difference in tire revs per mile- in other words the above example is 5.4% difference.
This affects the speedo, odo, fuel mileage calculator and shift points etc.

My 96 Ford F350 has a procedure where one goes through a sequence with the odo reset buttons to change the correction factor. An important caveat is it can only be changed 6 times then it is locked.

So far I have not seen such for the Transit.
