I see crewvanman seems to be the best go-to for a build. I am in southern CA and do not really have a preferred dealer. What is the concensus on a preferred dealer for builds? Also, I am seeing posts that final orders for 2023 units are complete? Would that mean there are no longer available builds for 2023 models?

If I were you, I would reach out to
@CrewVanManInfo and work with him on a stock dealer ordered Transit Trail. I do not know if he has the ability to help you or not since - like you mentioned - the 2023 order bank is closed and the only way to get a van is through a dealer’s stock order.
If you read enough posts, you’ll see the
@CrewVanManInfo is the only reliable source for getting a van. Save yourself the headache of working with incompetent dealers. If I had ordered one of my vans from him, I would have had it three months ago instead of it sitting in Kansas waiting for shipping to CA.
Working with any other dealer puts you at risk of getting roped along for months and months with no answers. Save yourself the headache and work with him if he’s able to help you. I don’t know if he has the ability to help you or not though but I’m sure he’ll post here if so.
