I usually carry about 2000 pounds of cargo in the truck over various conditions about 70% city 30% highway. I took delivery on 7/23/2014 and have logged my fuel consumption over the last 4700 miles. Hand calculated mpg is 14.2. I experimented with E85 early on which lowered the average slightly. I am pleased with this mileage given my usage and conditions. This vehicle is a 250 MR 148" with the 3.7L and 3.73 limited slip. I am not an aggressive driver, but traffic delays are severe on the East Coast, so I spend a lot of time sitting. I would be interested to see how much the mileage would increase with additional highway travel.

Hello SuprMover. This is probably no help BUT-- I have found that not many people post their 3.7's mileage nor the diesel's as of yet. Possibly because it is not as great as expected. My EB 3.5 is averaging 14.6 (hand calc) with 3.31's. I carry tools and have shelving with partition. I carry an average of 1,600 lbs. You will find with boost or not your rpm, weight and mileage will result in similar results to 3.5 when driven by the same person. Sounds like we drive alike. 60% around town 30% freeway. 10% local coffee runs... :)

Thanks for posting your MPG and driving patterns. I am getting a similar build in an XLT Wagon with 130" WB and low roof, and am expecting closer to 20 MPG on freeway trips, which other posters have confirmed here and there as conceivable -- with care on the throttle . . .

If you happen to take any longer trips, it would be great if you could try to "eek out" the best MPG for a tank or two and let us know the results.

Thanks.

PS -- think I will start a new sub-forum for the 3.5 with 3.31 LS -- [Edit -- Done] :

Speaking of good improvements that could drastically increase MPG on these rigs: Auto stop/start! The MPG just dies sitting in traffic.
Thanks for the link to the earlier thread. It is helpful also to review all the topics/threads in this sub-forum Ford Transit Mileage and MPGs:

Will do. So far most customers are within 150 mile round trip range. I might take a pleasure cruise just to see what the potential 'eeking' economy will be. I had hopes of 19 MPG. Does not look possible so far. Can we start a crosswind / handling sub-forum?
