One 36" 2 passenger seat just got picked up in TX for a CrewVan. The customer was from OH and was on a trip to South TX and got it on the way back home.

If I have the 8 passenger incomplete with the brackets empty in the back, I need 2 31” seats correct? Do they have the tethers for a car seat? NO the 31" seat are so narrow for the child seat.

Are the brackets spaced apart the same in row 2 & 3? So I could replace row 2 with something roomier?
If you have the 12 passenger with the 'delete' rear seat, then you would have the 8 passenger setup. It would have the 54" 3 passenger seat, then the 36" 2 passenger seat, then aisle and a 16" single seat. With the floor mounting brackets behind these seats, there would be room for the 2 31" seats. One alternative to get more child seat mounts is add the 62" 3 passenger seat. This seat fits right into the 2 LH and far RH floor mounting brackets and this seat gives you 2 child seat latches on the RH side next to each other.

ok thank you! I found another of your threads after posting this- it showed the 62” seat fitting in that spot. Very helpful appreciate it. Probably will go that route since the small seats aren’t really adult or car seat friendly

What front seat material do you have? I have a few of the 3 passenger 62" seats available.

Apparently you are communicating with my ads on the Dallas craigslist as well as here on the Transit forum.

You can only install one of the 16" single seats in the 12 passenger van with the factory floor brackets. It is next to the side door and it has 2 floor brackets that have the rear bolt-in floor and seat brackets. The next row can only go with the 2 31" LH & RH seats that are 4 across seating that are quick release seat brackets.

You can install the floor mounting brackets that come with the seats just like they go into the passenger van. The passenger van has weld nuts made into the floor for installing the floor mounting brackets. On the cargo van, you would need to drill through the metal floor and install a Grade 8 long bolt through the bracket holes and the floor and use a lock washer and locking nut under the floor. Some owners add the 1/4" steel plate or strips for extra support under the van floor.

The 36", 54" and 62" Transit seats are the only seats with the designated child seat mounts.

What are you trying to do with the seats? Replace the 4 rear seats by the back doors with a different type seat?

After talking with you via phone call, you have the 12 passenger floor platform. That gives you about 3 feet of flat floor surface from the rear doors.

I will be picking up this week another 6 complete interiors for 12 passenger Transit vans with ALL of the seats being the dark Palazzo Gray Vinyl (Black) and a few with the Ebony Cloth XL seats which are stationary seats just like the vinyl seats. The upfitters are not ordering any of their vans with the XLT trimmed seats so those are just about gone from my inventory. I have a few 54" 3 passenger and some 16" single seats with the XLT trim that has the 3" to 4" recline feature and the single armrest.

One of the things I get with these seats are the floor mounting brackets. This makes it easy to come to one place and have everything you need if you are adding a seat to your cargo van. A lot of Transit CrewVan owners are going with the 36" 2 passenger seat in place of the factory 62" 3 passenger seat and those seats are slowly going away. As well the 62" seat will be going away since Ford will no longer be building the CrewVan after the 2023 model.

Seats will be getting more scarce as when the 2024 model come out, the upfitters are going to more of the aftermarket seats that have the recline features. They get a credit for ordering the 'delete' seat packages so they use that credit outside to purchase the aftermarket seats.

No, they are basically removing the floor, floor mounting brackets, and the seats. In some of them, they keep part of the original floor platform and add non-skid flooring on some of the handicap conversion vans. What are you looking for?
