A mere 11 weeks after ordering, we were able to pick up our new T150 this morning. We replaced our 2012 Toyota Sienna because, with five kids and potentially more down the road, we needed more space (yes, we are a little nuts). Here are the specs: Magnetic T150, EB engine, 10 passenger with leather, sync 3, back-up assist and remote start. Ordered Feb 1st, realized they forgot to add the 10 passenger option Feb 5th, replacement order made Feb 6th. Built March 22nd, and delivered to dealership on April 10th and picked up on April 11th.

Issues along the way (or blessings in disguise): First, as mentioned above they forgot the 10 passenger option, which delayed the order by a week. This turned out to be a good thing because it meant our car was built after the recall was corrected. The initial order didn't actually get cancelled, so it was built on March 13th, and is still sitting at the dealership for an undetermined about of time until they can fix the airbag issue (which may take months to fix). I also realized a few weeks ago that they didn't add the Privacy glass or running board option on to the order. Those would have been nice, but I can also tint the windows just like I want them for less than what the privacy glass was going to cost. Also, the aftermarket running boards seem to be a good deal.

So, overall we are extremely happy with our purchase! This forum has been and will continue to be a wealth of information. I don't plan to change much (other than tint and running boards), but I may eventually want to upgrade the speakers and the headlights. I already know this forum has info on those items!

I've attached a few pictures. I plan to take more, but it's been a busy day. If you are considering buying a similar vehicle, please feel free to ask questions or request pictures. This forum is far more helpful than your dealer will be (at least than most dealerships)

Welcome and congrats! We have a T350 MR 3.5L 12 passenger for our 5 kids. Lots of road trips in our future! It's been a great ride so far in 4 months of ownership.

Looks AWESOME! Oscar is a great name. We are still in debate with ours. Leaning towards Fiona from Shrek as it's big and green.
One vote for Fiona on big green :D

PS to mgore: I'll be looking for Oscar on the road! :nerd:

Dang didn't do enough research i guess and bought mine spontaneously used..I've got a long one and didn't realize they have a regular wheel base...

To be honest, I think the longer ones look a little better and they have more storage. Since it's our daily driver though, the reg wheel base is probably easier, but the main reason we didn't get a 12 passenger was because my wife still wanted leather seats like the minivan we traded in (can't get that option past 10 passenger)

Here are a few more pics (still haven't had too much time for front interior shot, but I'll get it). I'm not sure why the front shot is sideways - I will try again but I can't seem to remove this one.

Funny Story: My wife went to pick up some family from one of the Orlando resorts, to then drive them to the airport (family was 2 adults and two children, which maxed out the car with my wife and five kids). When she pulled up the Valet people were thoroughly confused. Here was this girl driving an un-marked shuttle bus with five kids in car seats, picking up another family and taking them to the airport. It took them a few beats to finally grasp that this was her everyday vehicle (and that all the kids were hers).

I also vote Fiona - vehicles drive better with a name. We actually never named our Sienna, which may be why we only kept it for 4 years (and we were out growing it). Our Honda Pilot before our van was Brutus Maximus, which also would have been a good name for our transit.

Did you have any issues getting your vehicle with the recall delay? I'm also guessing you are shipping it out to get the 4X4 conversation? That will be one awesome vehicle! I'd love to see it when it's done. I will try to post a few more pictures later on.

Have never named a vehicle that we have had. My wife does call this one "the boss" because it is so big. She drives it as her everyday driver. We have 6 kids.

That's a great name! - we want a 6th kid (soon hopefully), and I imagine at some point we may wish we got the 12 passenger. Buying a used one is also probably (actually definitely) a better value. They seem to depreciate a lot right away, but then hold their value in the $20K's for a while. If it weren't for my employer's Ford Discount and the high value of our trade, we would have gone the same route.

We actually know a family with 6 kids who did the same thing you did. It's also a daily driver (White 12 passenger T350 - do you live in Central FL? lol). Actually they are the reason we started looking at Transits again, as we had actually decided to go with the Nissan NVP (I'm glad we didn't).

No we live in Louisiana. We had a 7th in December but he had complications and he passed at 1 week old. My wife is pregnant again and we are actually at our first Dr's appointment. Ours is silver by the way..i just couldn't do the typical white..

Condolences iruntrains. Haven't had to experience that and hope never to. Many of our friends have though. We have 8 kids with the 9th due in August. When I was a kid the all the vehicles were named Bettsy until we moved out of country and the new neighbor commented that you couldn't give a girl's name to a pickup so we dubbed the pickup Leroy. Every since then we've named the vehicles uniquely.

So incredibly sorry for your loss! But that's exciting about your wife being pregnant! We just found out we are expecting #6 yesterday, but we are keeping it quiet for a while (had early miscarriages before). If we were going past six we'd need more space (unless we end up with twins, then I guess we'd try to make it work!). I'll pray for health for you all!

Thank you, praying for you as well! We are doing a scavenger hunt today with our kids that will end up at the grave site. We just put out a bouquet and a balloon that says big brother and that's how we are going to tell them.

I am pretty sure my van was built and on its way to the upfitter prior to the recall delay. I guess i'll have to get the recall dealt with at a later date. Look forward to hearing more feedback and pictures of yours.

Here in Orlando when you go near the airport or Disney (which we do a lot), the shuttle services & tourists are driving Transits everywhere. That is one reason I have added various touches (and continue to do so) to help our wagon not look like the rental vehicle it was before we got our hands on it.

PS: congrats on the upcoming arrival 0:)
