Ac should go at the very rear IMO. Best support for it structurally, and least impact to aerodynamics back there. You can also balance out cooling the van quickly with the rear ac going and the van running with front AC on.

exhaust fan up front near stove, shower, sink is better to remove moisture and promote airflow through the van.

I find it moronic that pretty much all the aftermarket roof racks do not have at least 60" useable inside width, to allow for 3 compact 100w solar panels across. That's why I'm making my own roof rack.
@Hein why not mount awnings to an 8020 roof rack? Seems nicer to not have to drill holes in the side of the van and use pads.

Zamp makes a 100w panel that’s 43.38" x 20.63"
… exactly. 20.63 x 3 is 61.9”. Doesn’t fit

putting them 43.38 across is a waste of space.

mid you can put them 60” across (myren ohh panels are 19.6” wide each) it’s very easy to fit 600W on my extended, including space for an AC, a Maxxfan, 2 skylights, and a cellular antenna

I guess it just depends on how one wants to mount the solar panels. The rack I’m getting has an inside dimension of 65.1” so it’s a mute point for me.
Which rack is that?

That rack has an interior dimension of 53.81”. Even worse than the other ones
