Got my Window sticker from researchmaniacs for my VIN, early October. All options exactly as ordered, build date 10/08/15.

My VIN finally showed up today on ETIS BUT....
Build date is different? shows 19.10.2015
also has a list of a hundred or so build details "with" item or "less" item etc.

NO MENTION OF about $1500 worth of options like

Dual Batteries
HD Alt
Upfitter switches
Reverse park aid

Coincidentally, my delivery date slipped by a week.
So what do I do, trust "researchmaniacs" or the official Ford ETIS?

Anyone else notice this discrepancy between window sticker and ETIS for the same VIN?

jonsobi,

I would trust your WS. Besides if it isn't on there when delivered, point it out on WS.

Inclined to agree, but cause for pause. I did find a couple of the options hidden in the long list. Still missing are the rear power point and reverse sensors, which I could live without, and Upfitter switches, HD alt, and dual AGMs, which would be show stoppers if they don't show up.

Window sticker will show the actual options that are on the Transit. The date at the top of the window sticker is a PROJECTED BUILD DATE. It is done when the dealer is billed for the Transit (shown at bottom of sticker)and the window sticker is created.

The date that shows on ETIS is the FINISHED DATE for the Transit. All the other items on the ETIS report are part of the broadcast sheet that goes along the assembly line and tells the assembly workers what goes on the vehicle as it goes on the line. Some detailed options may be left off as they come as part of a assembly group and not detailed. That is why you may have a option listed on the window sticker and not detailed on the ETIS report.

Thanks crew, that makes sense, sort of.
I had read yesterday somewhere on the forum of a new Transit missing an option that was on the ws. Dealer had to put it on. Would hate for that to be the case for dual batteries and hd alt, as those are not options I would let a dealer do.
