same here, I"m 90 % for the low roof, need to know the exact back door clearance and how long the extended cargo floor is gonna be. Need atleast 52" hight and 140" length measured from where the partion will be.
If you see one at your local dealer before I see one could you please take some measurements. Don'nt want the Med. roof , guessing I would loose about 2 MPG
You're out luck on the length. Unless you get the EL which requires the HIGHEST roof available there will only be 136" from the rear doors to the seat pedestal. I measured this three times last week before ordering my EL.
The pamphlet link just above confirms this, although the cargo measurements for the non-extended body seem inconsistent IMO. [p. 11 of the pamphlet -- not sure what the PDF page number is]
Yes, it's listed as 141.something inches, but is only wishful thinking on their part. Dodge was forced to recalculate their volume claims for the Ram Promaster following it's launch when it was determined that they were a bit too generous in their math.
Plus, if bbird's cargo is a rectangular solid 52" high x 140" long [x width not a problem apparently], and if the partition can only start behind the slanted front seat backs (non-reclining?), this will impinge even further on the available cargo length, plus the thickness of the partition itself must be added in.
Additionally bbird, the side and rear door openings of the low roof van are only 49.5" high, so hopefully your cargo is not a rectangular solid 52" high, as you will not be able to slide it in either door as one pallet/crate.
