Hey Everyone!
I am new here, very happy to have found this place!....also thank you in advance if this is readily available info...just couldn't seem to find it here.

I have ordered a 2021 Ford Transit Crew Van - High Roof - Extended Length...the big boy...its in production and I am trying to map out some of the build and order up items that may be delayed or have longer lead times on them...

I am looking for a CAD drawing, or map or photo with dimensions of the rig inside and out. Just trying to get some sketches going and plan for space while I can.

Example: I have 2 solar panels and 2 Fans for the roof, as well as cross bars and a Thule Box ready to roll...I want to begin either building or shopping for a roof rack - but am not sure where to find the dimensions to accurately order the rack based on the other items taking up roof space.

Example: I want to order small windows, but not sure what will look best based on size and use etc.

Hoping to get dimensions inside and out.

Any help or ideas?

Ford Transit 3D Model Interior Layout | FarOutRide has some for their high roof extended, but it isn't a 2021. They also have links to a full 3D scan of the van but that thing costs like $800.

We have a 2021 Transit 148 High Roof Cargo Van on order and I've been working on CAD conversion plans, which is difficult when I don't have an actually van to refer to. I was able to take some measurements of a MR 148 at a Ford dealer, but that was just some rough, quick measurements taken on a cold day, a few minutes before the dealer closed.

What I have found to be really helpful is the following video, which is of a 148 HR extended (which still gave me some idead of dimentions that I didn't have): 2021 Ford Transit Cargo Dimensions

Thank you! I did find this video as well...good references for sure. I think if I could have some rough measurements on paper, this would be extra helpful. I think I might just need to draw along with their measurements. Hard to measure twice and cut once when you don't have anything to actually measure. haha.

That lovely couple who did the dimensions video included this floorplan of their own. It has dimensions in it, so hope it helps ya too!

Keep in mind that they have a bulkhead set three inches back, to allow for a slightly reclined seat.

I've just downloaded CAD, and am also looking for the extended length HR drawings... I think there might be some in the bemm whatever, which could then be compared to / mapped over the Far Out Ride plans from 2015, this floorplan of the above couple, and the dimensions video they shot.

Ideally, I can't believe we don't have any readily available 3D models of these things?? I am positive the upfitters have them. But if someone's able to scan the interior spaces of these..... I'd even pay for one!

Having a detailed CAD model is on a lot of wish lists around here, myself included.

I don't mind paying a reasonable fee for one, but not $800. Sub $100 is more realistic. There are some free one's on the web, but "you get what you pay" for does apply here.

The factory dimensions sheets have most of the important ones, enough that you can get a decent interior wireframe to design to. Like so many others I wanted to build to a CAD drawing but once you start building you realize very quickly that these are not precision made vehicles. The factory uses a lot of glue and other attachment methods that I have seen make up to an inch in difference from the spec dimensions. Get the broad dimensions to play with layout and such but on the build measure everything to the actual van itself.

This video has a very thorough list of measurements. I found the specs that Ford has doesn't always equal some of the measurements people actually get on their vans. I ended up using Blender to make a 3D model instead of CAD because it's free.
