Hi guys,

Got one of those LED tail light bars with 4 pin connector, but my ‘17 Transit Connect doesn’t come with tow package so I have to hard wire it.
Before I dive in I wanted to check with you all make sure I’ll be doing it right:
1. Take apart tailight, check it with multimeter for break, turn, and reverse.
2. Use T tap into the wires.
3. Hard wire to LED bar.
4. Take apart opposite taillight, check for turn light w multimeter and tap into it? (Not sure if I have to do this if the first tailight might suffice to get the power?)

Thanks in advance.

That won't work on this van. It will blow the bcm or, it's possible, and has happened to a lot of people.

Go to Uhaul or a etrailer website and get a power adapter box. That let's you connect those wires to the box and the box gets power from a proper power point thus keeping your bcm safe. You have available power points at the ccp at the bottom rear corner of your driver's seat. Extra wire to the rear but cheaper than a new bcm.

Thanks brother. Got the Curt harness after research. Kind of wish there was a way to hook it up from the back without having to run the power cable to the battery all the way under. Is there anyway to get power from the back or has to be battery?

The Kohree 12V single dome LED light is one of the most efficient ways to provide lighting for a mobile home. When I ordered the 5-pack for my RV, I thought it wouldn’t be enough and that I would have to order more, but fortunately, that’s not the case. That's great!
