After losing some LED's on my old set of upgrade bulbs(which would scatter light and blind oncoming traffic) I needed a new set that wouldn't flicker and just generally be bad.

I ordered some Sea Light LED bulbs this time. Read a bunch of reviews and am not sure why I chose these but they didn't seem brighter than the old set after install.

The real magic is that these actually light up the road. The beam is nicely focused so when I'm burning up the miles in the middle of the Mojave at night I can see that tire carcass in the middle of the road from over 100' on low beam alone.

Also, I'm not getting flashed all the time by annoyed drivers with my old scatter beam HONCS(I think they were called) bulbs.

These are the model: SEALIGHT S2 H11/H8/H9 LED Bulbs

Fans are very quiet on them as well.

I don't believe they are 600% or 20,000 lumen. It does throw the headlight code.

I put in some Sealight LEDs. Like them! Also get the headlight code - does anyone know how to fix this??
On my 2018 I used Forscan to cancel the alert, but it did not work for the 2015.
50w resistors did the trick for it.

Here is the model that works in halogen reflectors:

I've now run them twice at night and I usually get Michael Ophus'ed with the other bulbs I was using. These Sealight halogen replacement LED's are excellent.

In the 1980s I had 250,000 candle power aircraft landing lights on my truck, I only used them on paved backroads where there was not much traffic late at night.

What ever happened to Candle Power, You do not hear that term used much anymore.

candlepower was a measure of intensity in a specific direction, where luminosity measures the sources brightness and includes a measurement of efficiency.

candlepower is still used, but is usually referred to as candela.

had to look this up a couple of years ago as we had a requirement for candlepower in a shelter, but all of the lighting products were rated in luminosity
