My 2nd work van is a 16 t250 medium roof with the 3.7 Engine. Purchased used about 2 years ago. Installed cooper discovery at in 245/65/16 with new 16” wheels right after purchase. Drove fine for those 2 years but lately it’s been going into limp mode. Pull over, cycle key and everything’s fine again. I’ve changed the throttle body and intake tube.
took it into a mechanic and they think it has to do with the larger tires because all codes coming up are related to wheel speed and such. Now my 15 t250 with ecoboost has a 2” lift, 245/70/17 bfg at ko2 with 17” moto metal wheels and never gave me such problem.
Anyone else ever hear of this?

Yeah I still have the stock rims but tires are gone. I just cant imagine that being the problem.

Tires are not the problem "unless" one is worn down so much or one is new and the tire diameter difference is throwing the computer into fits.

Otherwise, you have a sensor/wiring problem and the mechanic doesn't know how or isn't equipped to troubleshoot.
