For some reason the previous thread isn't allowing new postings.

Urg... and I had typed a long one.

Bottom line, I got one keyless pad on the driver's side with the van and bought 2 more.

The new ones won't program. I get the #9 key blinky thingy going but it won't take the custom code nor will the code that came with it work either. I also tried to clear out the custom code and didn't get the unlock, lock, unlock response.

What am I missing?

I recently added my first/only keypad. My understanding is that you will have to use the ignition key sequence, and reprogram ALL of your old fobs & keypads in the same session in which you program the new keypads. I can give you more, if you are missing the instructions for that programming.

Go to TOOLS above > Reading and Posting Messages > Attachments and Images

It's pretty simple actually, but keep in mind you have to choose Reply to start the process, not Quick Reply.

PS -- Edit -- the site's quote function is not working right, this happened once before recently. TBD

Since some of your keypads are attached to the vehicle, and you have 10 seconds to activate each remote device, you might need another person to help. Or not... since you don't have to be sitting behind the wheel the whole time. Run, run.

I seem to remember when I programmed my keyless thingy I had to turn key 8 times in the seconds they give you. Sorta like a frantic pace but it worked.

Guessing that Longboard may have some suggestions.

Airedrifter, any chance that your Transit's system is messed up? I think that was the case once before here. I don't recall who . . .

I just paired my 8th remote (a keyless pad) but forgot to re-do one of them. Yes, that one no longer worked. I re-did the process and now all eight function.
Since eight is the max the Transit can handle I'm finally done.
Four factory IKT, four keyless pads.
Why four pads?
One for the right side, so I can enter from the sidewalk when parked in the street without having to step out into traffic.
One for the rear, just a luxury so I can hop in the rear without attracting attention to pedestrians on the sidewalk.
One inside at the slider, so I can unlock and open to get out in the morning without setting off the optional perimeter alarm.
The fourth one has no real purpose, the driver's side door, but that's where it's stuck on when spec'd from the order. I'll probably use it the least, but still nice to have.

It works! Got to follow the instructions exactly. AND "keyfob" = key as there is no keyfob. What a pain.

Yeah the're calling the key with transmitter a IKT, for :
Integrated Keyhead Transmitter

I caught that but the instructions I had never referred to an IKT. Just a fob.
