Has anyone successfully programmed a new keypad for a PATS-equipped Transit? My 2020 will not chime after diligently following the instructions here. The owner's manual has a section for programming remote controls but for PATS-equipped vans, it just refers to the section discussing how to program a spare keyhead transmitter (which involves inserting the new key into the ignition).

It has not worked for my 2020 and it is noted from Ford parts as not available for 2020 with factory remote start. I have one available, opened but not used.

Yet a keypad is available as an option for 2020.
The manual says that a dealer can program it for you, hopefully you have one willing to figure it out.
The factory keypad works fine on the 2020. It’s factory programmed and all you need to do is change the code. I have a 2020 with PATS and no remote start. I purchased an extra keyless entry pad for the right side From the dealer. I have tried very combination I can find and nothing has worked.

Is the keypad you bought one of the new ones? There is a different part number for 2020, so far no one has reported the programming instructions included with it. No indication yet if the new model works with pre-2020 models either.

You have to use the part number for the 2020 model for that particular model and the other part number is good for the 2015-19 models. It uses a different code since the 2020 has the factory remote start through the Ford Pass system.

I’ve been banging my head against the wall with this issue for two weeks now.
I bought a 2020 transit and have tried everything trying to get it into pairing mode. I even went by a dealer who said the steps I was doing “should work”, but that they’d need to charge me for an appointment to actually take a look.
Has anyone been able to get their 2020 into paring mode? I would love to get my new keyless entry pad installed, but can’t get past this first hurdle.
thanks in advance

The 2020 ford keyless entry keypad KB3Z-14A626-A is what I have. Ford says “For Vehicles Without Factory Remote Start. Can be used with Ford Accessory remote start.” Remote start was on option but I didn’t order it because I could start it through Ford Pass. I’m thinking this is the correct part. Mostly can’t get the 2020 into parring mode.

I don't think anyone has gotten a 2020 into pairing mode as I suspect it has changed and will require Forscan and someone to figure that out, or a dealer.

Ended up having the dealer pair up the second keypad. They used their computer and it was done $50 later. I never could find the answer on how to pare it up on the 2020.

I am unable to get my van to accept the keypad and I cant figure out what might be the problem. This is the part number of the one I ordered
ES7Z-14A626-A

Is this correct for my 2016 van? I was able get into program mode and it accepted my 3 keys and the lights went on when I pressed 7/8 and 9/0 simultaneously

So if you buy a Ford keyless entry later and add it, do you have to reprogram all your existing keys too?
Yes. You can't simply add devices. You need all of them present at the time of config otherwise they won't work.

I'm having the same problem. The parts places say that the old keypad has been superseded by the new style.

Well I ordered a second keyless entry pad and it doesn’t work either. The following is a picture of what the keypad I got looks like, has anyone gotten one that looks like this to work, the pictures I have seen that work look different. Even the picture of what I ordered on amazon looks different.

Has anyone figured out definitely how to pair the NEW keypads with the OLD transits (e.g. 2016)? the 7/8 9/0 combo for the old remotes doesn't work, and that combo still works with the OLD remotes because I still have one.

I purchased the ES7Z-14A626-A as well and it will NOT program into the 2018. The key fobs program in just fine, but holding down the 7/8 and 9/0 keys simultaneously does nothing. I'm wondering if these newer key pads don't work on pre 2020 Transits.
