Just completed the order process with Matt Ford on a NEW 2017 T-250 MR DSD van. Loaded this one up with more optional equipment. They have 2 more order allocations that will expire at the end of this week. If you get your order in to them, it should be built near the middle of November. His next allocation of 9 units will begin in October and this will be the last units submitted for 2016. These units will be scheduled for January 2017 build dates.

If you want to receive your 2017 Transit before year end, be sure to get your order in NOW! The Kansas City assembly plant will close the last part of December so the last units will be built through the middle of the second week of the month. Check with your local dealer and see what allocation they have available now for orders. Some dealers may have already filled out their orders through the 2016 build dates.

Do you know if they released your Transit today from Quality Control? Unless things have changed, it goes to a outside upfitter for the remote start option.
On my DSD I went with the Blue Jeans exterior and charcoal cloth interior. Already have a 2 & 3 charcoal cloth passenger seat to install behind the front passenger area for my own crew van. With the floor design I have setup, I will be able to put either seat in the same position depending on how many passengers I need for a out-of-town trip.

Are you still looking for a similar passenger seat? Found nothing for leather seating but lots of vinyl seats. Are you going with the 2 or 3 passenger seat?

That looks very nicely equipped.

Yes I am still looking for a 3 place seat. Pewter Cloth or leather with recline. No big rush since I have a lot of work I am doing to the interior.

Looking at your prices it's amazing to see how similar they are to the Canadian prices, with the exception our dollar is 25% lower. So for USA folk coming up here to buy a used van would make a lot of sense. Ford blocks the sales of new vans to USA folk in Canada, cause they are selling them lower here due to the exchange. Over time our price will creep up though, so it's not a forever scenario.

2-3 years ago when our dollar was at par or higher we were coming south to get good deals post 2008.

Tom called me Saturday AM and already have a VIN and projected build date for my DSD van. Took less than 10 days after they submitted the order.

VIN is 1FTYR2DG0HKA34063 with projected build date week of October 31st.

One more Transit allocation is available for order and it may be earlier than the mid-November build date they were expecting.

FYI my build date was 9/8 and it arrived at Matt Ford on 9/20. That includes the remote start installation. Not bad, 12 day from build to delivery.
WOW I'm wondering if someone cancelled an exact order! Fantastic for you! My build date, as you can see in siggy was 9/5 and it's on it's way to me now...but has to sit in Miami for some reason a few days...so by Oct 3???? Can't wait!

What are you doing to it first? :D
