It depends on if the dealer has allocation to order a Transit van. Some have received a VIN within 10 days and others up to 6 weeks. When there were problems with the Transits ordered with the dual sliding doors, it held the VINs up for a longer period, even canceling the 2015 orders and moving them to 2016 models.

Did you get a copy of the dealer order with the order number and dealer code? That is the only way you can track it via Ford if there are problems.

Here's a copy of my DORA. I assume the order # is 8714 and Dealer Code is 56L200? I tried entering it on www.cotus.ford.com with no results.

The cotus page is apparently not "production". From my time reading various other Ford forums, it's quite spotty which vehicles ever make it onto that page.

My van never showed up there, I had to wait for the salesman to get me the VIN then I just had to wait for the window sticker to show up. It'll be available 7-10 days before build date.

Note: There is a direct Ford link for the window sticker floating around, it apparently no longer works. I used the Research Maniacs page to get my window sticker.

When a order is submitted to Ford, it is matched with other orders and is sorted by body code. The assembly line tends to build the same bodies together so when there are a group of the same bodies in the order bank, it puts them together and issues VINs. When a lot of the same body code hit the order bank, you may get your VIN in a week or two. If you order a T-350 Wagon with Medium roof and 148" WB, it is batched with the same type bodies so it may be a while to get a VIN if only a few of this body code is out there.

You ordered a T-250 Low Roof Van with 130" WB that is not a real common body code for mass build. It may be a few weeks before you get a VIN on it, but not knowing how many of these are in the order bank, hard to know when you will be issued a VIN.
