Just in case you might want to see the interior of a Transit with the Builders Prep Package, go to this dealership site.

www.kengarffford.com then go to Transit-350, the Sterling Grey one. Look over the pictures and you can see it has the interior sides of the XLT wagon without the seats and floor covering. You get the windows with the interior trim on them which saves you from getting the regular van and then ordering the window option without wall trim.

If this Transit is missing, you missed seeing the interior!
You might try this....www.pictures.dealer.com/k/kengarffford/1984/de320847c05d5276536c1fc9750ade84x.jpg

This looks like a high roof, if so, would be interested in seeing a medium roof too. Is there insulation behind the headliner and wall trim on passenger wagons?

I was considering this the other day...
As I understand it you can get swivel seats with the builders prep package.....
Having the rear "occupant safe" (rear airbags) might be a plus for some....build your own crew van
There are options for open/close windows that fit in the factory openings I believe..
Would be nice if the order guide had more info...
Is there a "builders prep" description? List of things we cant have if building a van this way?

Builder's Prep Description is on Page 40 of the Order Guide. Nothing there about swivels one way or the other. Pages 12 and 13 show swivel seats optional on Cargo and Cutaway only.

Brianmcgaha, do you mean aftermarket options for windows? I'm looking into that. But I also would like to know what the egress window option looks like (17L). Any chance it's an operable awning window?

My upfitter said he can cut new holes in the metal sides for windows (cargo and crew van scenario) but he didn't seem to want to retrofit existing windows. Much harder I presume with the adhesives. Just thinking through all the options...

Did anyone keep the mentioned images. They are no longer available. We need a repost.

And I'm figuring out the CrewVanMan is clueing some of us into this cool option. I think the idea for us DIY RV builders is that the sliding door or 2nd seat row area looks finished like a wagon area (less wall/ceiling work) and the floor is ready to take standard seats if you decide to put them back in.
