In the process of ordering 2016 MR, LWB, up in Ontario, Canada. The Dealer is having trouble ordering the Interior Upgrade Package. It is showing "late availability". It does print out items in the int package as per last years list, including a 4" display and "SYNC", no mention of SYNC 3, which I thought had a bigger screen now? Also, I noticed the detailed item printouts make no mention of backup camera, which I understood to be standard equipment on 2016.
Anyone have any insight into these details would appreciate feedback.

2016 Transit

I just ordered my new 2016 Transit and it took over 7 hours sitting down with the Transit specialist and I still didn't get it exactly like I wanted it. In reference to your query, the backup camera IS standard now and the image is displayed on the SYNC 3 6.5" screen that comes in the super deluxe megabucks stereo package. If you choose a lesser sound system, the rearview image is displayed on a small screen in the rearview mirror.

One of the biggest problems I ran into was that if you choose a certain option, another desired option would be eliminated. I really wanted to eliminate the rear seats since I'm making this a mobility van, but that was not an option. I also wanted the leather seats in my T350 XLT wagon but they aren't available except in the cargo van.

Thanks for the response. I drove a demo with the rear view mirror backup cam, did not care for it much. I will keep pressing to find out if the Interior Upgrade Pkg includes SYNC 3 and a decent screen. My order is for a cargo van, not the Wagon.

jonsobi according to the 2016 Buyers guide the Interior Upgrade Package (96C) comes with this for a radio (58X):

So it looks like you'll get the 4 inch screen on the dash, which I believe gives you the back-up camera. If you want the bigger, 6.5 inch screen, then I believe you'll need to order the Nav package. That's item number 584:

In your wagon, did you only want the 2 front seats? If you want to have the wagon without the other seats behind the passenger area, you can order the Builders Prep Package (61A) which deletes all the seats.

That is helpful WGC, thank u. I will not order NAV as i use Google maps on my sphone very sucessfully. Do you happen to know if the 4" screen is the same one as the 2015s? I noted on this forum some customers were unhappy with the small 2015s screens.

jonsobi- I'm with you on the Nav package, I didn't order it either, perfectly happy with my Garmin when I need it. To my knowledge it's the same screen but I would think that it has to be better then the mirror. This year the backup camera is standard and I'm pretty sure that it hooks to the 4" screen (if you have one). Some of the other guys have hooked up some bigger screens (not sure how) but you may have to search to find it. One of the members have tried this camera
(thread) "Rearview safety 3rd brakelight camera ". I've been backing up Econolines for so long that anything will help no matter how small it is. I ordered the back up sensors as another aid.
