Here is how we did ours I needed them up high to have room for the bikes in the garage. This is a variation on the Far Out Ride for the styles. But we went with 2X4 because I had them around. And then made a rail with lap joints to join the styles. We then placed the Ikea brackets and beams. Feels very solid.

I plan to mount a sheet of plywood on the back side of the styles to mount my electrical systems to.

I'm going this route, what's that pink foam you mounted between the wood and transit walls? That's a nice touch I didn't think about. Thanks!

Hi - I used window sill insulation. Got the idea from this thread.
