Can you just hang them on the sheet metal? Is the sheet metal strong enough? I can make something to hang them on that would be beefier but do I need to?
Use the forum search bar with the following terms you'll find plenty of examples
  • Skorva (not Skovra as you have spelled it in your title)
  • Ikea bed
  • Ikea rails

This is what I did to install ltrack and removable supports for the ikea skorva beams. Similar to what livelikepete.com
Off topic questions. Is there reason you used what appears to be polyiso on the wheel wells instead of the XPS insulation you used everywhere else? (did not see any mention your build thread). Also, where you used 2 layers of XPS, what adhesive did you use.

On topic questions.
Nice setup with those aluminum U-channel. Is there any horizontal flex where you cut out the material where they mount to the van? Do you recall the thickness?

We used skorvas in our Sprinter to make an adjustable height bed frame. The skorvas slip into slotted rectangular aluminum rails that run parallel to the walls. The aluminum runners are bolted into vertical L track, which is bolted to the vehicle wall framing. We only ever adjusted it once to lower it a few inches.

What are those cross pieces and where did you get them. They don't look like the IKEA cross pieces. What are they called so I can google them.
It looks like Boondox is using Harbor Freight loading ramps. They are a popular alternative to the Ikea Skorva bed rails. It all depends on how you want to construct the bed, and availability of materials.
Harbor Freight loading Ramps

My Transit bed uses the Ikea Skorva bed rails attached to 2" wide x 1/8" thick aluminum that are lowered using an additional 6" wide piece of aluminum so the top of the mattress is below the bottom of the rear windows. If you want the mattress higher for more storage under the bed, just attach the 2" aluminum directly to Ford's mounting holes. Plus Nuts and hurricane bolts secure the aluminum pieces to the van. The Ikea rails are screwed into the aluminum to secure them in the moving Transit. Plywood is then screwed to the Ikea bed rails to support the mattress. It has worked great for over 32,000 miles.

do not do this way
I used the same support
However, at the 20” high mark from the floor I used the existing holes, went to Home Depot picked up a 1” x 1/8 or 1/4” thick piece of steel approx 6-7’ long (10.00) and used 3 washers at 7 or 8 connection points on each side to stand it off creating a gap so the connection can be made from the claw grip of bed support
Had it this way for 5 years now, works great

Show us how it connects please
The pictures in my first port in this thread are all I have. I used plus nuts to attach the L bracket and machine bolts to attach the ramps. I had to add metal tangs to the ends of the ramps as they were just barely too short, also with machine screws. The plywood slats are attached to the ramps with self tapping screws.

I thought there was going to be less space for XPS. I did not overthink the insulation. I have not used 2 layers of XPS anywhere.

No flex. They are pretty solid.
