I was looking for baskets to use with upper cabinets on Ikea's site and stumbled across this:

http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/S59139689/

Stainless countertop and sink, faucet, drain, powdercoated frame and shelf for $139. Looks like a good start to a galley. Unfortunately, I couldn't find any dimensions.

We bought this modular kitchen for the first camping trip in our van. In the long term, we will only use the countertop and sink because the frame is extremely light duty. Great for a stationary tiny house; not so much for a vehicle. In a frontal collision, everything in the shelves would be aimed at our heads at a high rate of speed!

What if you made the frame more robust? I am thinking about using 1/2 ply as a bottom for the galley. Perhaps weld additional supports to attach the galley to the wall.

You could strengthen the frame but my guess is that you would essentially build a complete cabinet by the time you finished.
