Howdy. I've read on the forum that after a Transit is built, you can ask the dealer for a "Full History Report" showing where the van is at multiple times while in transit to the dealer. This is apparently easy for the dealer to pull up and share. Helps to predict when it'll arrive.

Unfortunately my dealer's fleet manager says he doesn't know anything about "Full History Reports". Thus:

Could anyone give me instructions to send to the dealer on how to access the Full History Report?

I have an upfitter interested in knowing the timeline ...

Thanks!
Bill

Some call it 'History Report by VIN'. You have to get someone who deals with the ordering of the vehicles at the dealership. If you are working with a salesperson, they do not have access to it at most dealers. Try talking to a Fleet Manager or General Sales Manager. If they have no clue, I hope your Transit got ordered correctly.

Do you have a VIN for your Transit?

Bill, if you search for "full history report" in the site's Google search function at the top right, you will see many earlier posts on the subject, as well as some attachments of actual reports from dealers. And ditto to CVM. Tell your dealer that its Ford Oasis proprietary computer system has this report for each vehicle they have on order by its VIN, and that the dealer's Daily Status Report should also have a line item for your Transit.

If it was really a Fleet order manager who told you this, something is probably amiss IMO. Mention the Oasis computer system to him, and check his reaction (in person if possible) and please report back.

Yep, the fleet manager. He did order it correctly as I've verified on window sticker; it was built almost two weeks ago. Maybe he's playing ignorant not wanting to bother with emailing the report. But your two replies are quite helpful, thanks.

Btw, it's on ship through to Quigley for 4x4, but I assume the history report would still be helpful showing progress toward their facility.

(CVM: I will send msg with the VIN; thx!)

An update: Although I have been dealing with a Fleet Manager at a large-volume dealer in the Denver area, I had to tell him how to actually run a full history report. He said "I have ordered over 600 cars in the last two years and you are the first to ask me for this." !!

Thank you to you all for giving me the information I needed to pass on to him!

BTW my low roof van was shipped by rail actually to near Quigley, to get the 4x4 treatment.

Best,
Bill
