Getting ready to pick up our van. It's been sitting on the lot for a few days after being delivered by convoy. I spoke to the salesperson who mentioned how 'everyone has been checking it out'. Obviously I don't mind a few employees going out to look around but I'm a bit concerned a bunch of people will have been driving it just to see what it's like.

So, how many miles should there be on the odometer? At how many miles would you start to question what was going on before you picked it up? I've only ever bought cars that were on lots and available to test drive so I don't have a good comparison.

FYI mine had 15 miles (after my 2-3 mile test drive at delivery), but I have no idea what the norm is.

If it is yours, with deposit paid, then no one should be driving it except the tech who checked it out. Mine had about 12 miles on it I think.

Congrats!

The odometer was at 23. Not worth making a fuss over. I do think a few people must have taken it out for a spin but I can't really prove it.

in these parts, the dealer puts in his sales contract that the vehicle can have "up to 100kms" before delivery to customer.
