I am excited my order for 2017 cargo van (low roof long DSD 3.31ls all windows privacy glass).

We are newly retired and plan to tow LittleGuy [email protected] camper touring America.

My Austin dealer will order Tuesday 11/22. As this is the holiday season, not sure how long it will take for delivery. My current loan approval expires mid January.

Like to learn Ford order, build, and delivery process so I can have the right expectation.

Guess you need to check with your Austin Ford dealer and see how he ordered a Dual Sliding Door in a Low Roof model since it has not been available and there is NO BODY CODE for it. If you looked at a 2017 Ford Transit Order Guide, you would see this model is not available.

Do you have a copy of the dealer order? Might check the Body Code to see what he is going to order. You don't want to be surprised when you go pick it up and it is not what you think you ordered.

Current orders for the Transit are now right at the late January/February build dates and delivery to the Austin area could be 2 to 6 weeks depending on how the railcar is scheduled for your area. Low Roof models follow out with the F-150 trucks pretty soon where the medium & high roof models have to wait for the higher roof rail cars that are still in short supply.

Maybe he ordered a med roof or maybe he ordered DUAL doors (not sliding)...

Ordered in April of '16. Dealer told me 6-7 weeks. Forums back at that time were citing around 8 weeks. Mine was delivered at 9.5 weeks. I had to renew my loan application even after 30 day extension.
