For those of you with 12 inch screens - how do you like controlling heat/cooling via the screen?
Agreed.I like the big screen i hate that the climate controls are in it. I'd rather be able to reach over and touch/feel where it is. For me the climate control doesn't work even with the update. It is either full hot or full cold. The dark mode for night time on the screen is perfect as it doesn't distract me at all.
It doesn't bother me a bit. It self darkens at night.Does it bother your night vision at night having the big screen? I know you can turn down the brightness, but I wonder if it would be distracting?
At this point, there's so much 'lectrical stuff involved, any issue could take out the entire van... 😏So, if the screen fails, you can't control your heat/AC? Or a bunch of other vehicle functions?
Seems like a great idea! What could go wrong!
I may be wrong but I think the temperature regulator is a chip that senses the chip and then turns the climate on or off. If the temp drops below your set temp it turns the heater on until it warms up to the desired temp then off. Same with AC. So yes, the air is either gonna be cold or hot.I like the big screen i hate that the climate controls are in it. I'd rather be able to reach over and touch/feel where it is. I can have it set on 66 and it is still cranking out heat. I have a thermostat in the back of the van by the bed that will read 80 where it feels cooler than what it is in the front seats. Uncomfortable hot. I have to reach over and turn the entire system off then when i get cold I turn it back on until it gets to hot again.I may be wrong but I think the temperature regulator is a chip that senses the chip and then turns the climate on or off.
