I replaced both pairs of lows and high beams with
Osram night breaker unlimited bulbs.
In purchasing a 2013 CRV the lighting in those is awful
an upgrade to these helped tremendously.
In the transit I found that the lows I replaced were a marked improvement.
The highs a little whiter --don't really know about a further cast of the beam or not. With no real easy application of fogs the improvement on the low beam is what I really wanted. Many forums brag about these bulbs and you can find them at Power bulbs in the Uk takes about 10 days to get them.
The install on the transit is simple. Even did it out in the cold here. in NH.

A brighter bulb usually means a trade off for longevity. Do these bulbs overcome that liability.

Thats the conventional wisdom yes
we will find out as I have them in two autos now

I'm thinking about trying a HID conversion kit when I get my Transit. They seem pretty simple and not too expensive.
