On Monday we were all set to go apple picking. I hit the remote start for the van, moments later my 9yo came running in the house screaming that the van was leaking all over the driveway. I go running out and hit the brake pedal so the engine shuts down. By this time there is 2 or 3 gallons of gas all over my driveway. I looked under the van and I can see the gas line hanging down with a bend in it and you can see exactly where it was pissing out gas. Oddly enough there is no sign of any impact of damage to the bottom of the van. It was towed to the local ford dealer. They examined it and said it wasn't a warranty issue, that the line had somehow been crushed and there was a whole in it. I spoke with my wife and kids and learned that my dog had been chasing a chipmunk around the yard and the chipmunk had climbed up into the undercarriage of the van in an attempt to elude the dog and the dog had been under the van pursuing him. Best I can figure the dog tried to snatch the chipmunk as it ran down the fuel line and instead crushed and ripped down my fuel line. $448 later everything is all better. :( I was trying to upload pics but it says my file size it too big. When I figure out how to change that I'll add pics.

Upload to photobucket, onedrive, google drive/photos, or postimage. Then use to photo button with mountains for link ending in png, or jpg.

What kind of dog do you have that was able to accomplish that? That super sucks, but glad there was no fire, or anything worse.

He's a mutt, Lab/Rottweiler mix the best the vet can tell. I'm going to have to eliminate that chipmunk though. My brother and a neighbor both had chipmunks tear up the wiring harnesses in their cars while trying to make a nest; resulting in several thousand dollars in repairs. The whole wiring harness had to be replaced in both vehicles. I have a ruger 22 ready and waiting for the little ******* to show his head.
