Fumes in cab????

Hello, I have a 2015 Transit 250 with ecoboost. I only have 1800 miles on it but lately I have been noticing a strange smell in cab and it's giving me a head ache! I don't know it its just the new engine or if it is exhaust fumes. Any of you had this issue?

Thanks

I also noticed a lot of cool air draughts on my hands when I was working on my electrics behind the drivers seat. The air seemed to come from the punched holes in the lower B pillar frame.
In the cargo van, at least, there is a clear path for air coming in the bottom of the B pillar. There's an oval hole above the D-ring that opens in the gas filler pipe cavity. Orton first recognized this, and I followed his suggestion of open the oval to round, and will soon use it for my shore line coming into my electrical box. With a good cable gasket, it will become air-tight -- though there may be other, lesser openings around there.

The 15 amp shore power cord worked very well. Bought a HF 12/3 extension cord and cut off the male end to use. Made an aluminum angle with a notch to hang the cord up under the body. Kept male end short (No comments!) so when I connect to power I rehang the cord connection under van out of the rain.
I have a carbon monoxide in my passenger wagon. It was stuck on the wall with a command strip but it fell and found its place next to the jack and wheel well next to the vent holes. Later I had a whole bunch of plastic containers in the back which got tossed around and fell on top of the detector. The other day the detector went off while I was driving and alerted me to carbon dioxide. Just an FYI that carbon monoxide is coming in through the vent holes.

Have since added info to the build site with pictures that are not allowed here:

i think i would be paranoid about running high voltage electrics any where near gasoline lines, you got rubber grommets protecting those wires but rubber is known to dry rot, it is not worth the risk!

Not at all concerned. At 78 years old I will rot out way before the cord rots out. Cord is not in the sun. No major risk IMO.

The whole electrical wiring system in my conversion is done with SO cords (like extension cords). No individual wires in conduit. All cords are accessible outside the walls inside cabinets or behind removable panels. Only one exception is the 14/2 cord from the roof fan which will have about 4' buried in the ceiling above a rear cabinet. Highly recommend SO cords for a conversion. Use for both AC and DC. 14/3 for AC and 12/2, 14/2 and 16/2 for DC. There is about 4' total of # 2 cable used to connect the battery to the negative bus, positive bus, inverter, shunt, disconnect switch.

re: exhaust fumes- I really do not like the exhaust outlet being UNDER the van instead of going all the way to the side or back...
Someone here said he was getting his Transit licensed as a taxi/limousine and their safety inspection failed it because of that exhaust outlet location.
IIRC he had to get someone to extend it to pass.

there is an ford exhaust extension kit mentioned in this pdf, it appears to be for rv and bus bodies, but it could be shortened for use on the van/wagon https://www.fleet.ford.com/truckbbas/topics/2016/2016_Transit_v1-0.pdf
Interesting- I wonder how much it is- I looked at extending mine but then I found Ford used an oddball diameter on the diesel that nobody makes exhaust tubing in, at least that I could find.
3" is common, 3.5" is common and Ford used something like 3.125"!
i have used ones bigger then these to join 2 different sizes of pipe together on semi tractor exhausts http://www.jegs.com/p/JEGS-Performa...ess-Steel-Exhaust-Band-Clamps/753274/10002/-1
