Those splash guards are different than the current ones.

Which makes sense, because the current Ford ones do not have enough room to accommodate the 2” bigger tires AND the extra 37mm of wheel offset.

the old front wheel well liners also do not have enough clearance in front of the tire for the new 60mm offset wheels with the larger tires - so I’m curious if the trail will get different front wheel well liners as well.

Interesting, it looks like the Transit Trail that Ford has in all there press photos is actually a crew. This definitely looks like a window painted, wrapped, photoshopped in matching Avalanche Grey
Maybe it was just a window added and not the full crew interior package.

If you are interested in ordering a Transit Trail, this is supposedly the last week that Ford will be taking retail customer orders. After that, it would only be available as a stock ordered unit with NO price protection and possibility it would not even be built.

I am new to the forum and I am interested in placing a Transit Trail order. If I wanted to order through you, how do I contact you? I have relatives living in KC, so picking up there is not a problem, even though I live in the Pacific Northwest.

Hey all, new to forum as well, but I've been lurking for a while and I really, really think this a great community! I placed an order for a Transit Trail right before Christmas and the dealer went on Christmas break right after. I've been emailing back and forth with him now that he's back and I found out they're selling Trails with a +$2K markup. My wife and I were rather shocked. He's also been shy about providing MSRP on the order preview and now I think I know why.

Thinking I'm going to cancel this order and I'm ready to fly to KC if there is still a chance I can order a Trail with Ed.

Any chance I can get an order in this week?!

The base Transit vehicle will be built at the plant, then it will be directed to the Mod Show to have all of the special Transit Trail items placed on it there. Some trim parts may be left off at the plant like the wheel lip moldings and the replacement ones for the Transit Trail would be added at the Mod Shop. The base Silver AWD wheels will be placed on it just to get it to the Mod Shop.

When Ford was building the Amazon vans, they were leaving off the rear bumper and the side trim by the side door for the aftermarket added items that were unique to that van. Curious what Ford will leave off the Transit Trail models before they head over to the Mod Shop.
So, all chassis/body mods would need to be implemented on all base models? Mod Shop would not cut and weld front wheel well pinch welds? Lift install and running board mounting mods would not be efficient. These chassis/body mods would have to be incorporated into all models.

Also hoped the roof fan option would be more than just the typical DIY/upfitter method.

I wonder when a new Transit design will come out and if it will include the VW Crafter that I thought was a planned collaboration. I imagine the need for EV has complicated the project. Maybe the partnership only covers City and 1-ton vans?

Someone could take over all RV and most cargo sales by optimizing a body for space efficiency over a compromised cargo/passenger design, think Hymer RV design. Things like box truck like shape with flatter thinner walls/roof/floor for easier insulation, buildout, installation of windows/doors, solar panels, etc. No slider door with option of RV door installation and built-in threaded mounts in floors/walls/ceiling.So many detail that would be better for RV and cargo buildouts.

Ed, new guy here and cannot pm yet so a few questions Regarding Trail Package 47N:
1. can the cargo W3U have window and door glass options 17D instead of 17B? have both second row windows.
2. With the Trail 47N do the upgraded seats 21S still have a swivel base
3. Can aftermarket gas heater fit under passenger seat base? If so is 63F for supplement heater.
4. Will classification still be a Cargo van with Trail 47N package for business use.
5. Is ordering still possible and would order now be fulfilled in 23 or 24?
