Ford is previewing these 10 orders for our scheduling this week.

R1C
R2D
R2X
R2X
R2X
W2X
X2C
W3U
W3U
X9Y

One note
..ALL of them have the 3.5L EcoBoost engine so looks like Ford has solved the problem for having that engine available. A few of these orders have the Virtual Rear View Mirror option, Black HID Headlamps, and one with the Bulkhead with Lockable Door. So looks like Ford is getting more of the options that were originally restricted for scheduling vehicles.
Fingers crossed on my W9C. Sick of trying to just negotiate a purchase at MSRP.

These are the selected body styles for this week. I will go back and post projected build dates once I get them from the Vehicle Visibility report

Ford has pretty much completed the scheduling for December and now everything moves to January. This week Ford is looking to pull 9 of our Transit orders and 8 of the 9 have the base 3.5L engine. This makes it more likely that the 3.5L EcoBoost engine is going to be holding up orders with that engine selection.

Ford sent us the list of holdups for this week and the 3.5L Ecoboost engine, SYNC4 audio packages, Heavy Duty Flooring, and HID Headlamps are the ones that are keeping Transits orders from being produced. These particular parts are getting high priority from Ford through the vendors for these parts so they will be pushing ahead to get them produced and onto the assembly line. This needs to happen as Ford is looking to add the extra work shift so having more available parts is essential to keep ALL of the assembly workers busy.

Here is the current preview group for this week. As we know, things may change during the week so the final scheduling will happen on Thursday.

The Transit Connect is built in Spain so you can have multiple problems when ordering one. This is supposedly the last year for the Transit Connect coming to the USA. Ford may bring the Transit Custom here to replace it.

Well, this is interesting.
YOUR VEHICLE IS SCHEDULED FOR PRODUCTION
Dear J Barrett,
We are excited to let you know your 2023 Transit XL CARGO VAN has been scheduled for production. Your vehicle is scheduled to be built the week of March 20, 2023.

I thought I ordered PSD, but apparently not. So will get much sooner than expected/needed.....

Seems like a boiler plate response. I have something similar and it only has the color and seats correct LOL.

Curious to know if any of these models getting scheduled have the Transit Trail package?
Don't expect any Transit Trail models before April 3rd. What may happen is the 3rd shift will build some of these vans and the next day they will go to the MOD Shop to get converted. As the MOD Shop clears off their lot, the plant will build more of the base units that go to the MOD Shop for conversion. They will transport the Silver painted wheels back and forth between the MOD Shop and the plant as they add the special wheels to the Transit Trail models.

How is Ford going to explain how they suddenly came up with all these parts that they have been claiming are in short supply?

It’s great for people who want the Transit Trail that Ford is so anxious to get their new project out, but what about the backlog of vans for people who have been waiting months and/or years?!

From the Transit orders that we have been seeing pulled for scheduling and the ones that have recently arrived at the dealership, Ford is getting the options that have been in short supply. Just this week I had 3 Transits with the Virtual Rear View Camera delivered to the dealership as well as some with the Black HID Headlamps. Somewhere down the line they have confidence that the parts supply is getting better and that is why the commitment for starting a 3rd work shift.

Right now the one area I am seeing getting shorted are the passenger vans. Some of the standard features like the HID Headlamps and the SYNC4 audio packages have been in short supply and a few of those options are getting placed on cargo vans. Waiting to see if Ford starts ramping up the scheduling for the passenger vans.
