Ford has pretty much completed the scheduling for December and now everything moves to January. This week Ford is looking to pull 9 of our Transit orders and 8 of the 9 have the base 3.5L engine. This makes it more likely that the 3.5L EcoBoost engine is going to be holding up orders with that engine selection.

Ford sent us the list of holdups for this week and the 3.5L Ecoboost engine, SYNC4 audio packages, Heavy Duty Flooring, and HID Headlamps are the ones that are keeping Transits orders from being produced. These particular parts are getting high priority from Ford through the vendors for these parts so they will be pushing ahead to get them produced and onto the assembly line. This needs to happen as Ford is looking to add the extra work shift so having more available parts is essential to keep ALL of the assembly workers busy.

Here is the current preview group for this week. As we know, things may change during the week so the final scheduling will happen on Thursday.

Thanks for this. I just called the sales manager at the dealer I stock ordered through in October. He claims to have allocation, so he's reaching out to see where I am in the queue. I'm honestly curious but not optimistic here, just figured I'd call for sh*ts & giggles.

Thank you this is helpful. I had ordered an Ecoboost in august and switched it to a Trail mid-nov as we hadn't yet received a VIN.

Never ordered a vehicle before. Had no idea the level of patience required!

Well if you happened to read vehicle-specific forums prior to 2020, you'd see people saying things like "Well, they had one on the lot that was almost what I wanted, but I decided to bite the bullet and custom order and will just have to have the patience to wait 6-8 weeks."

Sounds so quaint now.

Things are a lot different now. Once the AWD model came up in 2020, everything changed as far as Transit orders and supply. Pricing went from the mid-40s to 50s and every year from that more high end electronics were added so now you can get into the 60s or low 70s. At these prices, you want to get EXACTLY what you want as anything else just won't satisfy what you are going to do with this van, whether cargo, CrewVan, or passenger van.

We only had 13 Transit orders with the 3.5L base engine so these 8 are cleaning up a lot of orders with this engine.
So how many 3.5L base engine orders do you have left after this week's scheduling? And how many of those remaining 3.5L base have the PSD?

Are there other options besides the Ecoboost that is preventing vans from being built? I have an order for an X9C with Ecoboost, Power Sliding Door, and SYNC 4 (and other things, but those seem to be the ones that are preventing builds from what I'm reading). Anyone know what the chances are that mine gets built, and is there anything I can do about it?

Power Sliding Door is a 'Late Availability' option so you may or may not see your Transit get built. Current holdup with scheduling a 2023 Transit...in order....3.5L EcoBoost engine, SYNC4 audio packages, Heavy Duty Flooring, and HID Headlamps.

So it sounds like I should have the Power Sliding Door removed to have a better chance to get built?

I have a W3U order with you. Will it appear on your list before I am alerted with a VIN? I called Ford about 2 weeks ago. Still in Order Processing, Unscheduled Clean.

You can email me with your order code and I can look it up on the Vehicle Visibility report. In some cases, Ford will send you a email about your Transit if it goes for scheduling. We try to follow up with a email to give you the VIN and projected build date.

Guessing your order is K05F, its status is at 'Unscheduled - Clean' as this point. Some options holding up your order to get scheduled....

3.5L EcoBoost engine
SYNC4 audio package
Virtual Rearview mirror
Black HID Headlamps

Best to just stick with what you ordered as the parts have been ordered via the vendor source. Changing your order now just places more parts to get ordered and possibly further delays.

Did you order any W9C models? If so when, and have they been scheduled yet?

Here is the current preview group for this week. As we know, things may change during the week so the final scheduling will happen on Thursday.
Body..Eng..Exterior Color..Interior Trim
R2C...E..Carbonized Gray...Ebony Leather
W2X...E..Carbonized Gray...Ebony Leather
R1X...E..Avalanche Gray...Dk Palazzo Gray Cloth
X9C...E..Carbonized Gray...Ebony Leather
X9X..E...Abyss Gray...Ebony Leather

After seeing what happened last week, looks like Ford is having some 3.5L EcoBoost engines available. Ebony Leather seems to be easy to access for Ford as far as interior material choices. Will know more on Thursday if these make the list for scheduling in January/February 2023.

I got an email from ford on 11/17 that they are still having supply chain issues on my van order. It is a 148" MR cargo van with ecoboost, and SYNC4.
