Seemed like Ford has made a change in the vinyl flooring for the 2022 Transit and now it has the floor mat snaps on the driver and passenger side. Before 2022, it only had the snaps on the driver's side only with the passenger mat not having one as it is a separate mat. Current part number JK4Z 1613086-AA

NOW it looks like Ford has made a change in the vinyl floor covering but have not made a floor mat to fit the passenger side with the hole in the mat. I have went to Ford to find out if they will have a new part number for the 2022 model. STAY TUNED!!

UPDATE...These are now available via vendor direct. See latest information on later forum thread.

Thanks! this alerted me to a 'problem' I didn't know I had! Ironically, floor mats, and a few other similar items were on my 'buy list' for next week - I think I'll hold off until the truth comes out ;)

But if you ordered the HD mats from the factory (with the goofy requirement to have carpeting in the front) everything is still good?
I ordered the HD mats from the factory with the carpet had some buyer's remorse when I found out you could buy the HD mats after the fact and use them with the vinyl floor. I'm assuming there is no issue for those of us that ordered the mats from the factory. This alleviates some of the buyer's remorse but still would have much preferred the vinyl floor.

I didn't pay attention to the price difference for 2022, but I have the HD mats + carpet in my 2020. The HD mats get beaten on, but they completely cover the carpet so it has never been an issue. I'll just continue on with the out of sight, out of mind.

I do a lot of hiking and climbing in all seasons and so tracking mud, snow, etc into the van may be unavoidable. It wasn't as much a matter of the price difference as it was a preference to not have carpet. Good to know that the mats do a good job of covering the carpet. Hopefully there is a good solution for those who planned to buy the mats after the fact and use them with the vinyl floors.

I just talked to the engineer that I worked with on the design of the H/D mats and they have made a change in the front vinyl floor for the Transit. They now have the round hold down snaps for the driver & passenger side to hold down the mats. Previously they did not have any on the front vinyl floor. So the current part number that may still be showing to work for the 2022 model is not a good number.

The NEW part number is NK4Z 1613086-AA and I will be keeping it in stock once we can order it. Ford is not showing it as a active number yet but the part number is already approved through the vendor source. This will only be good for the 2022 model and if you have the older 2015-2021 models, you would still use the old part number.

The vinyl flooring for the 2022 model only has a vinyl floor mat option at this point. The current available carpet from Ford does not have the passenger side snaps for the floor and the driver side has a different attachment pattern for the snaps.

I checked the Ford parts system today and the vinyl mats are still showing unavailable from the vendor.

I just contacted WeatherTech regarding floor liners for '22 van models with vinyl floors and driver/passenger side floor retention posts and was told they are in development and should be available in the next 8-12 weeks. I'll continue to track their progress and will report back if and when they become available.

I was not aware of this issue when I ordered my floor mats for my 2022 with vinyl flooring from Ford. No, the mats don't have the snaps for the passenger side, and the holes for the driver side snaps arent in the right place.

That said, the mats fit great and arent moving around at all. I have the driver side attached to one of the snaps, and the other snaps are hidden beneath the mats, but are causing no issues.

Wish I'd known they werent going to be exactly right, but I really wanted mats asap and as of today the new part number still isnt available. When I ordered, the web site said the mats would fit 2017-2022....now it says it will only fit 2018-2020.

I meant to ask you about mats when I picked up my Transit, Ed, and it escaped my mind. They are working very well for me at this point so I'm glad to have them.
