With all of the retail orders we have been placing into the Transit order system, Ford is requiring us to take some stock ordered units. Last week they gave us 11 various body styles from E1Y, R1C, and R2C that we have not ordered for a 2020 model, We changed 3 of those to R2X, R2D, and R2V for customer orders.

Now late tonight they added another 12 more stock ordered units.
E1Y - 2
R1C - 4
R2C - 3
R2X - 3

NOW ...we have a problem with 20 stock orders to build out and finding customers who want them. Looks like we will have a lot of AWD models to sell!

Get some "pretty colors" and folks will want them - most dealers only deal in "white" vans with few options and haven't realized that there is a market for vans outside the plumbers and electricians.

Building out 17 with exterior colors other than Oxford White with ALL of them the 3.5L EcoBoost engine. So far there are 7 built out with one R2C, 2 R2V, R2X, R3U, W2D, and W2V. Colors include 3 Ingot Silver, 2 Magnetic Metallic, and one each of Diffused Silver and Blue Jeans. Three of them have the 4 way manual swivel seats with 2 of each color having the 10 way power/heated seats.

As part of the new added 12 stock orders, we will be ordering both the SWB and LWB passenger vans with the 10, 12, and 14 passenger seating configurations.

If you are looking to get a special ordered Transit, NOW is your chance with our wide selection of Transit we will have to take as stock ordered units. Most dealers just go with what Ford picks out which is the common Oxford White exterior with the base engine and few options.

With your $1000 deposit, you can get one just like you want it! Contact [email protected] if interested in one of these stock ordered Transits.

What is your best guess for delivery dates on these stock units at Matt Ford? Also, do you have any AWD cargos in the pipeline that could still receive changes, that would have an earlier delivery date than the stock units?

Being stock orders they already are in the scheduling mode and just need to be activated by changing the priority code. Based on the current submitted orders, you would be looking at late-March to April build dates and about 20 days after build date for delivery to Matt Ford. It would not include the Power Sliding Side door or possibly the Front/Rear Split View Camera since it has been held up on previous orders that already have VINs.

All of the previous stock units have been built and already scheduled with customers other than the one passenger van just picked up that is available as ordered.

I have built out 14 Transits with various body codes. If you need to see the code you want to build, go to the Matt Ford site and look under "Ford Transit Information' and use the TransitBodyDecoder to find the body style you want to order.

I can build other body codes other than the ones listed. Already built and have preview order for 3 customers. Once I fill out orders for these 20 stock orders, they will be ready for scheduling. They are already in the file for 'Scheduling' so they can be pulled at any time. I can make a priority for them by updating the code from '80' to any number down to '20'. That is the lowest number for a stock ordered unit to be pulled and I had a X9C pulled the next day after changing the code to '25'

Ford pulled a X9C Transit passenger van on January 16th with a WEEK of March 23rd build date. This is the first of the stock order units that Ford is forcing us to take with the 41 customer orders already in the Ford tracking system. The scanning going on this week has targeted the R2C body style so it could pick any one of the 5 preview orders that are out there. With 2 each of the Magnetic Metallic and Ingot Silver exterior colors and one Blue Jeans Metallic that can chosen for this body style, any one of them would be a nice special optioned Transit that can be purchased at any point from getting a build date to arrival at Matt Ford.

If you would be interested in a R2C (T-250 MR 148" WB) cargo van, one of the 5 looks to be pulled this week. It may be too late to make any changes on them but if you can get your choices in by later today, then this could be your Transit order going with a scheduled build WEEK of March 30th. Once it is locked in for the build, we can't make any changes to the order.

Spent the last few days while at Matt Ford building out the last of the 12 available stock order units. 8 of the 20 original group are already spoken for as far as making changes to them for their own special ordered Transit. The ones that are part of these 12 builds have a lot of optional features on them, nothing really as a base unit.

So if you are wanting to get a 2020 Transit, especially a AWD and/or a HR model, this is the time to get in contact with me to get one of these units. Once they get pulled for production, that is what they will be as far as body styles and optional equipment. They may have more options and the MSRP pricing is more than you are wanting to pay (with Matt Ford not charging MSRP prices) but you had the chance to get EXACTLY what you wanted and did not make the effort to get it done!
