I just saw a thread on Face Book (Ford Transit USA Owners | Facebook) were a person ordered a very similar Transit to the one I ordered in early 2022. Of course I got balanced out and re-ordered a 2023 that was exactly the same. I also aquired the "private offer" as my dealer put both my 22 and 23 orders in the COVP system. Great right? This person on FB ordered his van in September of this year and now has a VIN while all I get is the 45 day "we're short on parts" e-mail". My order is for a very basic MR cargo with EB motor. Why did he get a build VIN and I have not: guessing it's becuase he paid full boat 23 MSRP and I have a -$6k private offer!! I think Ford is trying to just rid of us private offer people. Change my mind.

Not sure if you've had this conversation but something else I've been told is the $6000 private offer ends Jan 3. There is no chance I get my van by then and nobody at Ford (Dealer has no clue I even have the offer) can tell me if they are extending it or going to issue another private offer or if it goes bye bye.

Thank you! I am indeed aware of the deadline and the uncertinty of an extension. I just got off the phone with Ford and they said my order is still at priority 10 and that I have other private offers but they couldn't tell me what they are for. I said it could be an offer for a $50K rebate :ROFLMAO: but it means nothing if they will never actually build and deliver.

If Ford had the administrative capabilities necessary to execute your conspiracy, nobody would be on order number two or three trying to get a van. The truth is that Ford is working with 20th century systems and technologies... and they are generally incompetent. They promised balanced out 2021 order holders that we would be prioritized - that didn't happen. And then they promised balanced out 2022 order holders the same thing. And it's not happening.

I think that Ford wants to put 2022 order holders at the front of the line for 2023's, but their management structure and woeful technology can't make it happen. So, it's a roll of the dice who gets scheduled. Some 2022 order holders hit Yatzee! and got scheduled right away, some won't get their vans until the last week of MY23 production, some won't get vans at all.

And it's not just Transits. Visit the Bronco site some time to see how Ford has bollocks that up... repeatedly.

Well said...my feelings exactly. Almost 19 months in the queue and I'm pretty much ready to give up.

We get extra screwed in Canada. I’m at 21 months and I have all but given up, or taking the watched pot never boils outlook so stopped paying attention. I put in another order with another dealer I met who was more knowledgeable (and a different body style, extended vs regular) and have a sprinter order in as well. Which ever shows up first.

my Honda dealer called me last week to tell me the bike I had on order since right after Christmas last year was here….., just in time for no ride in Quebec season

Do you have anything in writing on this? Im in Ontario.
I went to the stealership today and my van has arrived. When we started talking money they said i was not eligible for balanced out rebate. He said that in Canada the cut off date for the rebate was Nov 2021. I ordered Jan 2022.

Anyone has any more info on this would be greatly appreciated. PLEASE :(
Has anyone in Canada successfully gotten the balanced out rebate?
Sorry, I missed your post. I have nothing in writing regarding the 5K Canadian offer, just a verbal from my dealer who I believe said February 22 was the cut off. I'm sure Vanski's right and that it was November 21 since that's what you've also been told.

It's interesting that both you and Vanski have had your Transits built and neither of you qualify for the 5K offer and yet coguzzi and I have been in the queue for 21 and 19 months respectively without so much as a hint that ours might get built some day.

How did it go at your "stealership", have you taken delivery yet?

"Stealership" - awesome. After 10 months of waiting and the only communication being a few laggy responses from the order writer at the dealership I got this text from my dealer the other night:

"Hi Brian, this is <omitted> at <omitted>. Currently your order has a status of unscheduled. I check all of my orders often, so I'll keep an eye on it and keep you in the loop." At first my naieve heart warmed and I thought "wow thats great, the world is good and kind after all". Then I thought about all the shady dealer antics I've read about here and I re-read the text as "Hi Brian, this is ... and I'm wondering if you've given up yet and I can plan to sell this vehicale at a premium when it finally ships. BTW - its still unscheduled and might be that way for a while, so you might as well start making other plans".

Someone in a comment above made it sound intentional on Ford's part, I do think that is probably unlikely and that their fault is incompetence/ poor organization/ aging technology, but what we are really up against are two extremes in dealer types - hard working/ reputation building people like CrewVanMan on this forum, and at the other end short tenured lazy people who have heard they can work this situation for a few easy bucks. I still don't know which I am dealing with but the text I got is making me suspicious, I think I'm lucky enough to live in a small enough town that if I detect foul play I can just stand in the lobby and make a little noise and a few threats and things will get fixed. Super thankful to this forum for the forwarning and the info that might help to avoid any issues, it really would feel like a kick in the <omitted> to wait this long and have someone try to give me the runaround.

And fully open to the idea that this is a dealer who has decided to pursue the noble, hard working path.
