Have you read the previous 319 posts? It's all in here.my january 22 order was also balanced out ...like whats next ? do they roll it to a 23 ? cancel it ? is there price protection ?
And with that, this thread should probably be un-stickied and a pointer to the next chapter of the story be promoted to the top.Update.
…
I'll keep you posted if I hear more.
I think you are about 6 hours behind on your information. I got the same email from Ford and they thanked me for my suggestions I made over 2 1/2 months ago!Update.
Last week I sent Ford a long letter explaining my frustration with the Transit ordering process. I typed it up, printed it out and sent it via certified mail. It was received by Ford last week. I included my dealer info and my cancelled '22 Transit order sheet. Ford did not reach out to me directly but my dealer called me this morning. They told me that Ford is officially offering me up to $6k of price protection via a "private offer certificate" on my '23 Transit order. It felt great to hear that.
I was busy today and didn't have time to ask them if Ford had reached out to them directly after my letter or if it was just coincidental timing. Either way, for everyone here who had their '22 Transit order cancelled I wanted to share this with you. For me, it is a big relief to see that Ford is doing the right thing here.
I don't have a build date for this Transit yet and I don't know anymore than what I'm sharing. But I did want to share it here for everyone else who had their '22 Transit cancelled and hasn't been able to get this information from their dealer yet.
I'm rooting for all of us here to get our '23 Transits and for Ford to honor that pricing. As long as that happens, it's all good in my mind. Waiting a few extra months was never the tricky part. The rough part was not being communicated with by Ford and not knowing what amount we were going to pay if our '23 Transits did get build dates.
Hope this info helps a few of you all. I'll keep you posted if I hear more.
Ah, yes. I didn't see the new thread, great!I think you are about 6 hours behind on your information.
That number matches with the random marketing mailers/private offers I get from Ford[$2500 for an F150, $750 for everything else].not sure how to take this, but I called Ford marketing and they said most ppl get $1000 in private offer and the most they have ever seen was $2500 but that is very rare.
I did have a COVP 2022 order that was balanced out. I also have a '23 order that is already scheduled for this month, BUT doesn't have my name on it (we put it in before the 22s were cancelled and didn't want to create any issue in case Ford was still scheduling). Soooo... now I wonder how that will play out. That number matches with the random marketing mailers/private offers I get from Ford[$2500 for an F150, $750 for everything else].
This will be different. I would trust you are getting the $6000 if and only if you had that valid 2022 COVP order. This is going to hose those customers who waited a year and their dealer didn’t submit the COVP paperwork … there are more than one posts here from people that happened to.
LOL. Good luck.I did have a COVP 2022 order that was balanced out. We do not have COVP in Canada, so disregard everything you read that involves itI am getting very confused...I have been following various threads here regarding an order I did in January 28th 2022 for Transit with adventure PKG. I have an order number and Dealer so when people started talking about balanced out vans for 2022, I called Customer support for Canada as I'm in Vancouver area. Crystal said it was balanced out...of course my dealer said nothing as they had no idea till I told them. Then they wanted to sell me vans that were commercial orders that were cancelled but had arrived...at heinously inflated prices...the first one was $10K over MSRP...that sold overnight, so the next one he tells me they want $16K over MSRP! So then I'm looking here and see that maybe I'd get a personal offer to build in 2023 order if I have a COVP (Customer support could not tell me what COVP stands for?) So I dont know if I have a COVP....I also do not know if it is applicable to Canadian customers. I dont want to go into the dealer until I have all my ducks in a row as my dealer wants me to re-order for 2023, but are warning me it will be $10K more expensive. So I call Customer support one more time with order # and dealer number and they now say it is "in process" and should be built...eh? The customer support person could not tell me anything else...said it was not balanced out...what gives? I've received no email saying what the status is so I do not want to go to the dealer and have them cancel my 2022 order so they can hose me more money for a 2023...can anybody help?
My dealer called me today and confirmed that Ford Canada's offer to anyone with an order placed before the order cut off date in February 22 will be $5000 Canadian. Not even close to the US offer but better than nothing. We do not have COVP in Canada, so disregard everything you read that involves it
That's great however my order was actually early April why would a dealer still be allowed to take an order if there is a cut of date in FebruaryMy dealer called me today and confirmed that Ford Canada's offer to anyone with an order placed before the order cut off date in February 22 will be $5000 Canadian. They might have revised one of their stock orders with your details thinking that there was a chance it would get pulled. If they already had that order in the system, modifying it for your build would have allowed them to get your custom order in the system even after the cutoff date. That's great however my order was actually early April why would a dealer still be allowed to take an order if there is a cut of date in February
