It appears that Ford is making the switch from Microsoft to Blackberry before releasing any new Transits with the MyFord/MyTouch system, despite initial orders and the "build and price" with photos showing the Microsoft system.
After more than 3 years using the existing Microsoft branded MyTouch on our Explorer, I can say that I'm glad they are dropping Microsoft but bummed that I will have to wait many more months for the Transit (yes, I'd rather wait than get one sooner without it being loaded with all the sweet stuff!).
I received confirming word today from the Ford dealer in Houston that both of my Transits on order (a 150 and 350, both LWB, medium roof, loaded, placed on May 8th), are on "material hold" indefinitely due to the MyTouch.
Below is a reference of changeover, but does anyone else have any insight?
