Is there no for sale sub-forum on this thing?

I won't be needing my rear vinyl floor or plastic rear wheel tub covers for my conversion. They are currently located in Modesto, CA and are too big to ship. You pick up, delivery possible if you live someplace awesome...

They have the same insulation as the vinyl floor. Some form of denim/felt(?) insulation glued on. They are each fastened by two push in plastic clips. Don't have a box large enough to ship the tub covers at this time but if I come across one I'll let you know.

Hi Rondo!

I just got my rubber/vinyl floor and was just going to install it myself. First off the did not send the hardware to attach the plastic thresholds so will have to wait on those. But on the sliding door side it looks like I will need to drill some holes for the part that sits on the van floor. Has some press fit looking plugs, and again will need hardware from them.

So my question is; any way for you to take some pictures of that area if you have not covered it up yet?

Hate to start drilling holes without seeing one first. May have the dealer do it but he has no instructions either so would be quessing as well. I would rather guess myself ;)

Thanks
Dean

Rondo,

Copied your post over to "Parts Needed / Available" along with camarina73's post wanting same.

Why is it better to wade through yards of unrelated posts when someone can put up a unique, timely, probably short lived offer or need? Besides, it gives us serial threadjackers a more target rich environment. :)

alarmist,

Couple of reasons I can think of. After a few days of no posts, since it is not a sub-thread it will drop into oblivion, unless you can remember who exactly posted it and know how to locate all their posts. (most new forum joiners won't, and won't know the information is already available) Weeks from now someone will probably start a new thread about the same. There is a sub-thread with posts about what is needed and available, sort of like looking in the classifieds for a particular car, everything about that car is in one place, not scattered all over the newspaper. Don't really care if the thread is hijacked, as long as owners can find what they need, quickly, today or in 3 months when their transit comes in. Easier to wade through one thread than all of them.

Unread posts show up as highlighted, ditto subforums with unread posts. I agree it could be useful (for now. Later when the place heats up with 100 times the current number of users, it will be beyond unwieldy) to copy the info to a common thread, but for the poster, far better to ask or offer in a unique thread. Nobody expects an offer to be around in three months nor a need unfulfilled. If so, the OP can thread bump. The real solution is a subforum.
