Our 2018 Ford Transit build was created for off-road and off-grid living. All electric, with no propane, a 360 watt solar panel, 200 Amp hours of lithium batteries, a 3,000 watt inverter, and an induction cooktop. We have never needed the included shore power hook up. With the real 4x4 installed by Quad Van (and maintaining the Ford warranty) the van has a high and low transfer case that has allowed us to travel to some remote places in Alaska, Canada and the western continental U.S.

Driving the Transit is comfortable for long highway drives and the van has proven to be very capable off road. There is nothing like pulling up to a remote campsite, shutting off the motor, swiveling the passenger seat around and camp is done, rain or shine!

The less than ideal:
One small dent in the sliding door on the passenger side of the vehicle.
One dent at the top of the van on the driver's side. (I have a repair estimate of $2,500 and will reduce the list price by that amount)
Two tires have low tread. (The tires have been ordered and if they do not arrive by the time the new owner takes possession I will credit the buyer with the value of the two tires)

Living Space:

The passenger seat swivels 180 degrees (swivel from Scopema) to face the interior and to complete the two person dinette. Look out the large slider door window while you eat your meals. Front seats are cloth and have always been covered with Ranger Design cordura seat covers. Kitchen cabinets are made of birch plywood, countertop and table top are Douglas Fir sealed with natural sealer. Flooring is Marmoleum by Forbo. All paint is Zero VOC from Lowe's, polyurethane is by SafeCoat, and all adhesive is SafeCoat Almighty Adhesive (www.greenbuildingsupply.com). Havelock wool (Reno, Nevada) insulates the ceiling and walls. Lots of storage for clothes, food, outdooor gear, etc. This van is built for safe, comfortable, and self-sustaining off-road adventure.
