Hi all, I was hoping to get some feedback on this quote I received. Does it look like I'm missing anything? FWIW I'm a current full time dweller in a 2016 MR 132" that I self converted so I have a good idea of what I want to upgrade.

Here is the van + features I think I want:

T250 Cargo, AWD, 3.5L
High roof, 148" wheelbase, no windows
Avalanche gray
Swivel seats
Cloth seats
Cruise control
Electronic parking brake
Steel wheels (SRW)
Rear Towing hitch
Long arm mirrors
HD alternator ( I want to upgrade from 50a charging to 2x or more via the CCP)

The "HD Trailer Tow Package" does NOT come with a trailer brake controller, and adding one after the fact is a pain on the Transit. I believe it is option code 67D .

4.10 axle seems unnecessary - how much you plan on towing? Make sure HD alternator, not dual. Better to add your own second alternator as a dedicated house alternator.

I would get the 10 way heated seats, and install your own swivels that work better than factory. Seems like the factory swivels are not that great, require opening the door, etc. Can get some good swivels, for under $200.

With the E brake it'll be a super easy install.

IMO ecoboost is well worth it, especially in a heavy van and especially towing. Had it 8 years on the F150, and love it in my 2020 AWD transit.

Rear auxiliary heater prep package is nice if you want to add a hydronic/engine coolant water or air heater.

IMO reverse sensing and BLIS/cross path detection is a no brainer on a vehicle this size. You're used to driving a van around obviously, but the HR 148 is a even bigger beast.

Extra keys, vehicle maintenance monitor are nice and cheap too. Perimeter alarm.

I bought mine off the lot, I wish it didn’t have dual alternators, and wish it didn’t have the larger center console. Don’t think the upfitter switches are useful

As CrewManVan suggests, you might want the 253 degree opening rear doors and front license plate bracket. Small things, but easy to add now.

Couple things to consider:
253 degree rear opening doors. From my understanding, if you don't order this, the doors don't open all the way. This is a change on the 2021.
The electronic parking brake comes std on 2021 (verify this)

6 speaker (speakers are terrible, but the wiring will all be run) $25

Just realize that if you add the trailer brake controller, or the up-fitter switches, you automatically get the large console instead of the standard one. It makes going from the seat to the back a little harder. It has much less room for your feet to get by.

I wanted the trailer brake controller, and the up fitter switches, but after trying out both the regular and large console, I decided there was no way I could live with the larger console.

Go to your local dealer and check it out.

Extended range fuel tank almost gets me 500 miles on one tank. It's definitely nice.

I wish I knew about the electronic parking brake, because I'm doing dual swivels and I might need to modify the parking brake. I asked if it was available and the dealer said no Should have done my own research.

Thanks for the heads up. The sales guy added this. I'm mostly interested in the rear hitch receiver for bike racks/storage.

Yeah I'm tall and already have to contort to go from the drivers seat to the back. I definitely want the smaller console.

I dont actually plan on towing anything. I think the sales guy added the 4.10 axle. I do really want a better transmission than what I have in my current 3.5L van. With a slight tire size increase I struggle on highways in the Rockies.

In my current van I have 2 scopema swivels that I installed. I've seen some of the cheaper swivels. In a friends Promaster I was sitting with my eyes above the windshield and they rattled quite a bit. Without sliding the seats forwards and backwards I would also have to open the door to spin them around. If I had the power seats this would be obnoxious. I also installed the e-brake lowering bracket but it has just started erroneously telling me the brake is engaged... Might need to take some slack out or something.

I think I will see if I can add the perimeter alarm. Lots of camper van break ins in Colorado are happening these days.

The regular 3.5 (Non ecoboost) comes with 4.10 gears. I don’t think there is any choice.

The guys I’ve read posts from who have the 2020 swivels report they have to open their doors to swivel because they aren’t offset properly. The swivels I linked don’t rattle according to those who have installed them.

I’d still go with the manual 2 way seats and install your own swivel. Saves you $750 too. And no brake relocation to worry about with the e brake

Your list is extremely short. You are missing on all the advanced electronics to assist driving, backing etc... This is unique in a van to have available the same level of electronics as in cars.

I personally would add Adaptive cruise control, BLIS, front/rear split view camera, side sensing system, and possibly enhanced active park assist. Expensive options, but it is more expensive to bump into things, especially since you are moving to a larger wheel base.

I second other suggestions, the B-pillar and D-pillar assist handles, and especially the eco-boost.

So yes a very different $ amount but also a totally different driving experience.

I am hoping to get my 130wb MR in March, but I already have a passenger side Scopema waiting for it.
My driver-side Scopema swivel is on back-order, silly as I wonder if the only difference is the kit to lower the brake, which we don't need for the 2021 model (there is no brake there). I am 6'.3" and I hope the Scopema keeps me low enough to see the traffic lights.

The delete stop/start switch option means the switch to turn OFF start/stop, is deleted. In other words, there is no way to turn off start/stop.

This is the first year for this option. The standard 3.5 (non eco boost), does not have the start/stop feature, so if you look at any 2021 window sticker for a van with the standard 3.5, it will have the delete start/stop switch listed as a no charge option.

The only real benefit with the stock swivel seats is they can be adjusted up and down. Adjusted down, they are one inch lower than the stock seat, so about two inches lower than the stock seat with aftermarket swivel. For some people, that might make a difference.

That is just a preview order from the Ford system. You are leaving off the complete information from this page as at the top of the page there should be a Ford logo if this is actually from the Ford system.

Incredible that the stock swivels can be adjusted down one inch lower than the stock seats. That means there was space between the top of the batteries and the bottom of the seat.

@Janus9 would you happen to know if the stock power seats are also capable to adjust lower than the regular seats?

I was not able to try the power seats, but I did feel a need to order them after my test drive - capability to adjust height and angles are super important for tall people.

You would think more height would be a good driving position for tall people, except that it then pushes your high torso too high to see well outside (traffic lights are hidden), so a lower seat position is needed with a high pitch angle to support the thighs because the knees are still high. But the legs are now more horizontal so we have to back the seat and the steering wheel is now too far, so hopefully the telescoping steering column is long-enough.
