Where does one acquire good webbing from? Home Depot only had super thin stuff for hanging HVAC?

I have a bunch of 1". Happy to send some. Also strapworks.com has a lot to choose from with no minimum order.

Picked up our van from Brent at Ruhne Racing today and our bed is done! Glad the mattress I cut fits. Plenty of room to store bikes underneath. I can't sit up fully but that's not my main concern. I think the bed rails are at 34", which puts the mattress at 39". 28" of head room.

How are you attaching that vertical strut at the front of the bed to the floor? I think you put vinyl down over the floor carpet too?
I've got a wagon too and trying to figure out etrack or l track mount points on the floor.

I have the factory carpet floor with a vinyl floor on top. It came from a Transit cargo van.

The vertical bed legs are attached to the walls with two rivnuts/bolts. The leg rests on the floor but not by much. In other words, the floor is not a support for the bed.

Very nice work.

I am building s similar set up in my mid roof wagon.
I am trying to make the support system a folding system so I can pop out supports when needed,Mobutu other wise have right side of wagon open to walk in and out from rear door.
I will post photos one day from my lap top since I don't seem to be able to directly attach photos from my iPAd on to the forum.

Today we got the battery box and house battery installed. Ruhne Racing (Brent) in Santa Cruz sourced the parts, built the box and I was only there to assist with the install.

We went with a 105aH West Marine AGM battery that will power the MaxxAir fan, two USB ports and a cig. lighter port. I also requested a volt meter so we could know when to crank the engine and charge to battery. There is also a Blue Sea isolator mounted inside the box. Fuse/breaker mounted outside.

We should have ran the cables when the carpet floor was removed before but with the bed installed, it would have been a huge pain. So we ran them through the wall.

When I put together a battery box for the bed of my Tacoma, I used a momentary pushbutton switch so that the voltmeter would display only when the button was pushed. No 24/7 current draw on the battery that way. Something you might want to consider.

Oh nice! That's a good idea. Keep the draw very low. Fortunately for us, our draw on the battery is really low, so we can sacrifice the power draw from the digital volt meter display. We only run the roof fan and charge two phones with boon docking at two days max. If we need a charge I can let the motor run for a bit.

Added an LED light strip under under the bed, mainly for my daughter's entertainment. Plugs into a USB port on the battery but wigs out and doesn't work so I had to plug it into the cigarette lighter plug with an adapter. Bought it on Amazon for $10 and it comes with a remote to change colors.

I also made a split curtain to keep stuff out of sight. Also doubles a "fort" for my daughter.

Might also try strapworks.com

Yep, I recommended Strapworks in a previous post. They have very low minimum orders. The 1" seatbelt webbing has a soft hand but is thick and a bit difficult to add a grommet. But nice stuff.

Today I installed a set of Wet Okole custom neoprene seat covers. I had a set on a previous vehicle and they've gotten even better. Fit is very snug and looks close to factory. My only complaint is that the pattern does not fit around the arm rest on the bench seat, but they notified me if that before ordering. They're a bit pricey, but well worth it. I think the two bucket seats were $260 and $298 for the bench seat. I also got the added zipper pocket on the back of both bucket seats.

Window to Window= 77.5" @ 31" off floor

Window Trim to Trim= 73.5 @ 25-30" off floor

Inside Pillar Trim to trim= 68" @ 24.5" off floor

We will most likely weld up a bed frame that sits just inside of the inside pillar and has two wings that extend close to the window. Bed platform will likely be around 31" high. My bike with the front wheel and seatpost in is 36" tall so if we made the bed sit abovve that I couldn't sit up in bed. Gotta figure all this out, but it;s looking like I miay have to store bikes under the bed with both wheels off.

Edit: Our bed will be similar to our friend Eric's just not as tall. Brent at Ruhne Racing in Santa Cruz built it:

I'm in the same boat, but my seat height is at 37" w/o front wheel, plus I want to make a slide out bike rack so my bike will be easily removable, another height eater upper, lol. Sitting up in bed is nice, I think you said you will be sleeping side ways in your bed? I think that's to best use of limited space since I'm 5'8". I feel I will have to have 2 bed heights, one for traveling with my bikes and one for sleeping with the bikes removed, unless I opt for a HR which I really don't want.

Great job, keep the info coming

Nice carbon wheels
