Is remote start available for factory ordering? My Ford dealer says there is no order code but I just found on Donlen Fleet and ARI an order code of "68B Remote Start". What gives?

Your dealer is incorrect. 68B is the factory remote start order code. I have one.

You might want to find another Ford dealer who knows something about the Transit.

I have one also however, It may be FACTORY but its set up just like an aftermarket one. seperate Key fob and the antenna is just like an aftermarket one too, stuck on the windshield IMO a Factory remote start should be operated in the key fob that locks and unlocks the vehicle and the antenna out of sight. I was disappointed with Ford for this.

I agree. A bit tacky. Apparently one of the advantages is the antenna does increase the range capability of your key fob.

The dealer is in Chicago area. He has now "found" the remote start code after I told him what it was. There were a few other things about the Transit that I had to educate them about.

I still placed an order with them on March 18th after making sure that the options and the correct Transit were listed on the order sheet. I think I got a reasonably good price but who knows. He said 8 - 10 weeks for delivery which I highly doubt.

Just noticed today on Donlen that Remote start (68B) will increase lead time to 24-26 weeks!!! Yikes, is that true?

Doubt it. I have a delivered Transit with remote start. Remote start was one of the items that was "late delivery".
