Espar D2 Install

Installed the Espar airtronic d2 under the passenger seat today. Hook up to the auxiliary fuel port on top of the tank is exactly as described in the BEMM. Of note, after running your tank empty so it is light and easy to lower, don't get frustrated that no fuel is getting to the heater... The tank is empty!

I did install the muffler. The loudest part is the click of the fuel pump, but the furnace burning is audible. I guess it depends on your tolerance for noise if it is too loud. The straw feeds in from the top and the quick connect snaps over it. It does not reach the bottom of the tank. The heater is starved with about 1/4 of a tank remaining.
With winterized diesel it shouldn't be "freezing" or waxing up anyway..
The larger line is just maybe 3 ft or so to the fuel pump. The small 1.5mm goes all the way across the van from the fuel pump to the heater- but I did run a large portion of it covered with vinyl tubing for chafe resistance since I shoved it through a cross member.
I did the exact same thing.
My exhaust is directed to the passenger side near the back of the side door. No issues with it being near the door opening because I'd never run the heater with the door open for any extended length of time, and quick trips in and out have never brought exhaust fumes inside.
