Driveshaft Drone Noise Survey

Such a useless comment. This thread has 18 pages about a problem Ford itself has acknowledged. It’s not normal, even for a “work truck” and not all transits have the issue
And there are even more pages in the air filter getting wet, fable thread. đź’¤

There are three long forum threads on this going all the way back to 2015, Nobody really knows.
I just learned to ignore it and accept the fact, It is just unibody harmonics.
Yes, they buy what is essentially a truck, and want it to be as smooth as a kiddie car, with front wheel drive.

Update on mine, they took the driveshaft off and sent it to a place to rebalance it. The rebalancing shop said that they couldn't rebalance it because the carrier bearing (I think?) is making noise when they spin it by hand. Apparently that part cannot be ordered by itself, they have to order a whole new driveshaft. And the driveshaft, despite having no electronic parts, is on backorder. So they put the old driveshaft back on the van so that I can drive it in the meantime. One employee said that the backorder has nothing to do with the UAW strike, and another service rep said that it did.

Is that the guy that is giving you the run around? No surprise.

So I called about my permanent replacement, you have to jump through hoops now a days.
So 2 appointments. 1st one to inspect, and order parts if needed. 2nd to do the permanent repair.
So I did a self inspection, and see cracks, hopefully that will be enough to get this done? If it had not cracks, I would not bother with the inspection.

What is cracked? Are you on the right thread? I'm not seeing continuity in your replies.
I got my permanent repair a couple of weeks ago. Not as smooth, but it is a truck, so I am good with it.
