I’ve been looking at the Transit Connect Titanium and see adaptive cruise control as an option. I’m wondering if it’s the kind of ACC that will bring the car to a full stop when I n stop and go traffic or if it’s the kind of ACC that has you take over at low speeds. If anyone who has ACC could give their feedback, I’d really appreciate it. Thanks!

I have ACC on a 2021 F150 and if I am remembering correctly ACC only works at speeds above 40 mph if that helps.
It must vary from model to model. For my work, I drove a 2020 Fusion and it had ACC which would bring it to a stop and could be restarted by tapping the gas pedal.

So, if anyone out there has a Transit Connect with ACC, it would be interesting to hear which kind it has.

I've never experienced this in a Transit, but just prior to purchasing my van I had a rental car with this option. Slickest feature ever!

It has added years to my life by removing the annoyance and anger toward those incompetent drivers that can't maintain the same speed. Yes, the ones that gradually slow down to well below the speed limit for no good reason, causing you to have to cancel your set cruising speed and eventually change lanes and overtake ... which subsequently alerts said driver to their speed loss and causes them to then overcompensate on the accelerator, leaving the people who are now starting to pile up on your ass to wonder what this massive white tin can is doing all alone in the passing lane.

Or worse, those a-holes don't give you the 5 seconds it takes to make sure it's all clear to return to the slow lane, and whiz beside you on the right, cursing your "inconsiderate nature" the entire way by.

(sigh) Ok, feels good to get that off my chest. 😁

Yup, good feature even if it doesn't handle stop/go traffic.

Thanks! If only that was happening on the Transit Connect instead of the Transit

What each Ford vehicle does with it's cruise control is definitely different. Not sure why, but Ford has stated that fact.

For our 2021 Transit, adaptive will take it down to around 5-10mph but it turns off at 20mph... so if you drop below 20mph it will continue to stop but it won't start up again. Not ideal in stop and go traffic (our other car has full stop/go adaptive and it is amazing - never bothered by rush hour anymore).

Ford is making changes to the cruise control for 2022 - I think it's even smarter for next year.

This is in regards to a 2020 version but he explains the correlation between the eBrake models (F150, 2021 Transit) and Stop n Go feature of ACC. I bet my 2021 F150 has stop n go, have to go try it out now. About 8:43 minutes into the video.

I hear what he's saying, but it's simply not accurate. They did away with the hand/physical ebrake for 2021 but 2021s don't have stop and go.
